STRAM Mattress

Bought this to replace the mattress on the folding bed I use at my sister's. Turned out that it was too thin to use as a replacement, so I just put it on top of the old mattress, and it worked pretty well that way considering that the springs on the folding bed are shot. A little pricy for the thickness, though.

These are from the Swedish bed maker Stram, although it appears that it was made in Estonia. It comes with a blue & white striped cover which appears to be removable and washable. This is a fine foam mattress that fits perfectly on my folding cot and makes it much more comfortable. I'm not sure what's special about Swedish/Estonian foam - perhaps I could have just gone to a local foam shop and ordered the same, but this was handy and works fine.

My son likes to camp out in the basement sometimes. We have purchased several air mattresses over the years (they never last very long), and it was getting pretty costly to keep replacing them. Nevertheless, we purchased yet another air mattress. My son was very concerned after reading the label on the air mattress that warned about potential harmful chemicals. So of course, we sought another alternative, a cot mattress. The Stram Mattress is perfect! My son says it's very comfortable, and he says he doesn't have to worry about the toxic chemicals that can be found in air mattresses. I only wish we had discovered the Stram Mattress years ago.

This mattress is comfy. The foam seems like it will last a while. It's soft enough to use on the floor or on a foldaway-type bed. Nothing fancy, but definitely serves its purpose well.

Its only the matress! I felt mislead by the description. That being said the matress is very comfortable

Good mattress. I would rather have a denser foam as this is a little soft for me. I have placed a closed foam pad over the top of my cot springs. Between the pad and the mattress the cot is rather comfy.
