Comedy Double Feature: Grumpy Old Men / Grumpier Old Men

I didn't like that all the curse words were bleeped out. That was the funny part of the movies. If I had known that I wouldn't have bought them. The picture quality was good but not happy. Disappointed.

Not True Theatrical Widescreen Format. It's cropped from the 4:3 format. You know, when they notify with the opening "This film has been modified from its original format to fit this screen." We compared to the 4:3 with this supposed Widescreen format. A portion of the top and bottom are missing that is visible in the 4:3 format and no added film on the left and right.

Walther Matthau and Jack Lemmon play two old geizers who are long time frenemies, battling it out in the matters of the heart and the fishing rod. If they can ever manage to stop competing, they might realize how much they actually care about each other.I grew up watching these movies, because I am a big fan of the Odd Couple and even those these are not a sequel per se, Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau still have that magical chemistry with a similar sense of humor. These movies have a lot of heart. They are not politically correct by any means--there's a lot of misogyny if you pay attention. However, I think the heart of the story, the enduring friendship and loyalty is the message of the movie, and it's a great message. These are great movies for a casual, fun, feel good time.

Once you are a senior, it is nice to watch movies with your own generation in it, and see how it is still possible to find a new love even late in life. Both these movies are great to watch repeatedly, so I highly recommend them to all senior citizens. Matthau and Lemon work well together. Ann Margaret and Sophia Loren are lovely to watch as senior women who still have that sensuality at advanced ages. All four of them are great in these two movies!

Perhaps my favorite comedies of all time. You can't beat the acting and charm of two actors at the very end of their careers and lives - Walter Matthau and Jack Lemon -- and of Ann-Margaret, Sophia Loren, and Burgess Meredith (also at the end of his career and life). Both movies nicely set in a small Minnesota town, just funny and charming.

Who has never seen Grumpy old Men? It is a classic and worth having in your library for days you need to just sit and relax and need a good laugh. We have watched this many times over since we have bought it and with the older generation me getting close to it they enjoy it and that is 5 stars in itself.

Love both movies & have not seen in years. Much unresolved trouble with the blu ray so cannot watch it.Cannot hear the DTS Master Audio 2.0 sound track in the Blu Ray "Grumpy Old Men."I can hear audio just fine for any other Blu Ray DTS MA or Dolby True HD & any DVD.My equipment is Panasonic DMP BD 80 Blu Ray player & Pioneer Sc 05 AVR.My AVR is set to automatically detect the audio format; Dolby True HD, DTS Master Audio, Dolby 5.1, Mono, Stereo, etc. It does do this & when playing the movie in question it does display: " DTS Master Audio." But, no sound. I tried the Spanish & the French track & they play just fine but they are not DTS Master Audio. 2nd movie audio plays just fine & but it is DTS Master Audio 5.1.I already sent the movie back to Amazon for an exchange & the replacement has the same problem. These videos are not really full screen on an HD TV but is small and only covers part of the screen with black bars on the sides. Just be aware of that. They are formatted for the old square TV's.

Jack Lemon and Walter Matthieu These guys have a great chemistry on screen and would keep you laughing all throughout both movies. My favourite is Grumpy Old Men as I think it has more humour but both are great in their own way. I found this blu ray double feature and I am really glad that I did. The picture quality is great for the age of both movies actually.

Grumpy old men was a fantastic film I watched many years ago at the cinema, I loved this film so much I brought it on VHS when it was available & unfortunately like most VHS tapes they only have a certain lifespan, I was hoping this would be released in the UK on DVD or blu-ray & it hasn't been yet, when I saw this was available I thought I would take a chance & purchase it, the delivery time was fairly quick about a week or 10 days & the packaging was excellent, the picture quality both movies is very good indeed what I saw of them as I have not watched them all the way through, I have played 5 minutes of each film which are both on the 1 disc & they play fine on our R2 player.

I liked it EXCELLENT EXCELLENT BEST EVER

One of the best an easy watch, had it on video so a must on DVD!!! be carful which copy you buy, got the wrong import first so threw that copy out as it would not play, so go for region 2
