Expensive, but works great. DO YOUR PREP!
These live up to the hype. SOOO much easier than sweating a joint with a torch. Not cheap, but saves time. You must clean up the pipes you're attaching it to. Be careful to cut out just as much as you need. My cut was near a sloppy sweat joint and I had to sand off solder nubs so it won't leak. Works great.

These things are great! What a time saver. Yes, they can be removed if necessary. It takes a while to figure out how to do it. I will definitely use these where I can.

LOVE Sharkbites
Pricing was better than Home Depot, and it was actually in stock. Some time to get it right but so much better than trying to sweat copper or use some other system to repair leaks or damage. Helped me do a pretty permanent fix after a major leak allowing me to save tons of money, and time. Highly recommend!

Easy installation
These shark bite fittings are perfect for installing whole house water filters, water heaters or other plumbing features. I recommend limited use and always in an area that is easily accessed and never behind a wall or cabinets. I use these to transition from copper to pex.

If you need quick and easy, this will do it
Sharkbite always snaps on quick and easy. I would not do all of my plumbing with these, because the price would be too high. But, to quickly tap into an existing pipe, with minimum downtime on the water supply, this does the trick. Same price as you get in a brick & mortar store.

So, I bought the wrong size. Returning was no issue. I then bought the correct size and am very pleased.

Easy to use
I have used Shark Bite for several projects they are easy to install I never had any leaks nor seeps. Never any problems with wet lines versus soldering copper pipes.
