Global G-77 20cm Fluted Cook's Knife, CROMOVA 18 Stainless Steel

I have only had this knife for a few days but I am impressed with the light feel. I had read some adverse comments about this but it is much more comfortable than the heavy knives I have had and well balanced. I was also attracted to its one piece structure. Only time will tell if its sharpness can be maintained but I have an 8000 grit whetstone which I hope will do it justice. At the moment it is amazingly sharp. If it keeps up with my expectations I will now be wanting a small set so definitely on the Christmas list. My only criticism might be that it came in a nice posh box but I would have preferred some sort of edge guard and a cheap box. Roy

This is my first Global knife. I was a bit skeptical about buying this brand because of so many people saying that it doesn't worth the money they ask. So, why did I buy this knife. First of all it was at half the price so I thought giving it a try. I honestly can say that I really like it. And this particular model is very light and sharpen. It's agile and you can work really fast with it. The handle fits perfectly in my hand. I'll definitely buy more from this brandl in the future.

Great knife. Extremely sharp and versatile. Also looks great. Does need regular sharpening though so factor in the cost of a decent ceramic sharpener to go with it.

Incredibly sharp, nicely balanced. Would not hesitate to buy again, it's the only big nice I ever use. But probably i will never need to as they as so well made.
