Lofbaz Traditional African Unisex Dashiki Shirt Color Tribal Festival Hippie

Bought this as attending a bday event for a 95-yr young Nigerian gentleman, and dress code was "colourful". This certainly ticks the colourful box, but I'd add it's also good quality in terms of material and print. I'd anticpated it being unlikely I'd wear it more than once, but it's so comfy, airy, light and cooling, I'll be wearing this again!

Arrived on time in good condition. Having read the reviews i ordered a large for myself instead of my usual extra large, which fitted perfectly. Quality seems good, although i havent washed them yet so i dont know if they fade. This is the only reason it has 4 instead of 5 stars. So far i am pleased with the product and think its good value for money.

The colours are so vibrant, eye-catching & good quality. One thing I will say is the sizes are generous, I checked in the description the measurements, normally I buy XL but L was amply big enough.

This is a lovely colourful top. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the sizing is a bit strange. I bought two tops. One for my brother and one for me.I'm a female, size 14 and the small even comes up a bit big! When asked what size I should get I was told to go for XL! Thankfully I didn't!My brother is of medium/slight build and small looks a bit large for him also (but not by too much).So we both have the small size and are happy with them!

Bought mid heatwave as something light and airy to wear.It fit the bill but found it a little restrictive when sitting, but I imagine that's the material too being 100% cotton.Little tight around the neck too, which again is the design, but wouldn't mind something a little more open necked.

I have not seen these shirts for decades, when I had the fortune to traverse Africa by balloon.The shirt is even better in person than picture. The construction is perfect! Not a stitch nor strand out of place. This is my new favorite Florida shirt, as the Covid plague will not allow me to escape to any one of my other residences. This shirt is not flimsy, as one might assume for the price. It is great relaxing summer wear. The shirt is slightly billowy, and the neckline is at the crest of the shoulders.This is perfect, as our body heat is able to escape without leaving a sweat line. I collect clothing from around the world, as I must own every creation from the US, and Europe. I have been collecting Asian designs for a decade now, and have a tailor in Hong Kong, Bali, and neighboring Java, for their wonderful block printed tie dye shirts. Which are available on Amazon. TO DIE FOR!Back to Africa, on subject; For $16, I would pay double. These shirts are beautifully vivid, and fortunately I have a dark tan, as they really highlight a dark African skin tone. That said, many color choices would suit every skin color. Athough I am on the thin side, I have wide shoulders and there are no shoulder lines. At 6'4, and 195lbs, I believe 30 extra pounds could fit into the same XL size. It is a very forgiving shirt. Way back in the 60's, when we all remember seeing the moon landing, I recall seeing guys with long hair wearing these. I was jealous, as my mother would never allow me to have long hair , but then again, I would look like Art Garfunkel...I am back, great shirts that I will collect. For the exceptional quality, and ridiculously inexpensive price, I will order many more. I may even order a shark necklace, as they are not endangered. Very cool, and very cool looking. Even if I am only a white man.Update 2021Shirts are great, and really hold up to washing. I do not remember if I noted that I never machine dry any clothes , that I can think of. Strangely this year I did not spend time laying out for a tan. I guess this is because my housekeeper and husband who I trusted implicitly for 7 years took off with the $70k for my tropical pool. It was only a portion of the theft,but I was traumatized by the heartless betrayal of a couple I trusted as the family I no longer have living. I should have a book filled with every criminal worker who has found a way to burn me while looking me honestly in the eyes, and lied with utmost sincerity. As I inherited a half dozen homes in and out of the country, there is nothing comparable to the scammers in FL.At any rate, I do not look great in the yellow shirt without the tan. Born at our summer home in Bar Harbor, Maine, I really enjoyed escaping to add some flavor to my lily white nature. When very young I asked my mother why non-WASP people were called colored? Being ignorant I said " but we are the people who change colors". I was always jealous of Latin or Mediterranean skin tones. Where others saw prejudice, I felt jealous of beauty. This year when I put on the bright yellow/blue and green shirt, I looked even more washed out. So maybe in a week I will try it on again. In my mid sixties, I have been lucky to not look old and a dried up prune. But lily white does not look good with bright yellow. It just makes me look awkward. I have spent my life traveling the world, and collecting the most beautiful handmade items, and sometimes items just make you look goofy. These shirts are great! But until my color is just right I will be wearing my ankle length jedi hooded kaftans, that I have in almost every color. In cotton and linen they are super comfortable, and I can layout the building of my tropical pool and bridge. I have finally stopped beating myself up over, and like an old dog, I have learned a lesson. As Covid kept us prisoners in one home, I would never go out back and stare at my stupidity. I laid out for some sun and noticed the shirt would look great soon. These shirts are great fun, and attract a lot of positive attention, even for a white man. They bring back all the beautiful memories of Africa. Such a beautiful continent, filled with more smiles than anywhere I had ever been.
