Are the cup holders actually 3 inches as advertised and are they made of metal or plastic?

I just received this table and measured the diameter...they are NOT 3 inches in diameter...2.75. I got whiskey glasses that are 3" for this table and they don't fit, so I measured with measuring tape and sure enough...2.75"

What is the size of the "outer box" that it is shipped in? This is going to be a gift and need to transport it (giftwrapped) in a small car.

I drive a 2012 Mazda 3. While I could probably fit the table by itself in my car, I would hazard to say the table inside the box it comes in, or the box it is transported in (as previously stated, it is shipped in a box within a box) would most likely not fit in my car. If you gift wrapped the table by itself, it would probably fit, but you'd have to careful not to tear the wrapping. Depending on the "small car" you drive, you may be able to fit the inside box in the car, but not the outside box. Hope that helps, but for what it's worth, this table would definitely make a great gift!!
