Great kit
This was my first cross stitch attempt. I am not sure what the other reviews are talking about, because I used two threads to stitch and did not run out. I made up my own pattern for the stars, and that did use extra thread, but I still had plenty. It is pretty labor intensive, so if you’re trying for the first time I think this is overly ambitious. In hindsight I would’ve tried something easier. Took me about ten weeks to complete. (Photo is while it’s underwater to remove pattern)

Good for beginners but has a few issues
Some of the shspes/ colors look too similar there are at least 4 different light blue shapes and it makes it very difficult to tell each one you are going. I had never done cross stitching before but since we are spending so much time at home figured it would be fun yo learn i do like this set its simple to follow and seems to be coming out nicely i did find some colors don't have thread. I ran out of black well before I finished so I had to go buy more but that has only been a issue with one or 2 colors I'm about halfway done so hopefully i don't run into more issues.

Read the Reviews Before You Start!
This is coming together great, but the instructions are TERRIBLE. No where on the instructions card does it say how much floss to draw from what they give you. I found out by seeing the check mark on the floss holder itself. You have to draw 2 strings off of the 6 for each color to have enough to finish. I'm lucky I have extra floss at home to finish the first color I screwed up on. It honestly looks better with 3 strings rather than 2 but I don't have extras of the other colors. There should be a better way to coordinate the map, the textile patterns, and the floss numbers. Whoever printed this makes it hard to decipher what color/number should be next.

Not enough Thread Included
I really love this design and I'm sure it's going to be beautiful when done, but there is NOT enough thread. I'm using two strands of floss, as recommended, and am constantly running out of each color I use. I will have to go to a supply store to buy more of every color or I won't be able to continue. Kind of disappointed in that part. Also the instructions included are pretty lacking and the needle (I only received one) is not even usable with this thread.

The color difference is huge with the demo image
I bought it to kill time during the quarantine. It is very easy to play with and the needle and threads they provide are just fine with the quality. But the color of the threads is extremely inconsistent with the illustration. The original purple-ish castle turn out to be blue and green, which is far less pretty than the demo figure. This made me feel like all the effort I put in is ruined because what you got is never as pretty as it claimed due to the color difference.

Challenging, but great finished product
I really liked this cross stitch. It did take me quite awhile to finish, about 3 months, as it uses 54 different colors. At times it was difficult to discern the colors on the printed fabric, and I had to refer to the chart to confirm certain colors and patterns. Overall, the project turned out very nice. Soaking it in warm water removed the preprinted dye so the finished product is clear of lines and background colors. I had enough thread to complete it, using two threads at a time.

Getting back into crafts again!
I used to do tons and tons of counted cross stitch pictures, towels, Christmas stockings and tablecloths, about 20 years ago so now due to that COVID I decided I would entertain myself again. I really like this design that I will use in my kitchen as I do have a coffee area with 2 types of coffee pots and all the fixings,

The Sky is Stamped...
I will update this when I finish the design, but I wanted to flag that the biggest issues I’m encountering so far are that (1) the thread frays easily and is hard to thread and (2) the sky is supposed to be left as exposed Aida cloth but the stamped gridlines extend over the sky and will be visible when you finish. You will need to buy extra thread to stitch over the sky to cover the stamped grid lines, which is very annoying.
