Review: Major Lazeeeeeeeer - It has some big shoes to fill my last leic lazer lasted 10 years, had the d330i, only bad thing with this one is it isnt as easy to set a timer when I put it on a mono pod and measure something I cant reach on foot. but its quick, easy to adjust increments of measure, and I like that you can toggle through the last 5 or 6 measurements which I couldnt do on the old one.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this model measure to 1/16" ? we need that instead of 1/32" (we bought a new d2 only to discover it no longer measures to 1/16! grumble**
A: Yes, it will allow the units to read to the nearest 1/16".

**Q: Can you change the measurement reference point from the back edge to the front?**
A: Yes. One of the control buttons toggles measuring references once the measure function has been activated. Page 2 of the owner's manual locates this button.

**Q: Does this X3 allow measurements to the nearest 1/8"?**
A: I have the X4, which is the same laser.  The X4 has the camera, where the X3 does not.  On my X4, it will measure to 1/8", BUT you have to make sure you purchase the US version.  Also note, that it will display oddly... it will say 2/8" instead of 1/4", or 4/8" instead of 1/2".  It's annoying, but you get used to it.  Hope this helps!

**Q: Does this have a tripod port and timer?**
A: yes to the tripod port.  There is a timer function shown on the quick "cheat sheet' but I have no idea how to use it.
