Best shirt stay (comparison with four-piece stays)
I've been using military-style (four-piece) shirt stays that work reasonably well. However, I decided to give these a shot even though they are more than twice as expensive. In short: worth it.Pros:Better fasteners. These fasteners are the same basic design as the military-style, but they seem easier to attach and detach. Yet, once on they hold really well. Some reviewers advocate the alligator clips. Don't do it. They are bulky and do not hold well. Once you get the hang of these, they aren't difficult to use.More comfortable straps. The military-style models have elastic straps that occasionally catch and pull leg hairs. No such problem here.Quicker to get on. I didn't think these would be that much quicker, but they really are for a couple of reasons. First, the fasteners are easier to fasten. Second, the Y-design means only one fastener on each sock instead of two. The socks are definitely more difficult since you can put the shirt end on before you get dressed (see below).Even tension. Because of the Y-design, there is even pressure on the front and back of the shirt. With the four-piece military-style, it's hard to get equal pressure, which can be annoying during the day.Cons:Price. These are more than twice as much as the military-style models. However, in the end, I think it's worth it for the reasons noted above.Notes:Length. Not an issue for me, but as some reviewers have noted, tall guys with short shirttails and socks may run out of strap length. I'm 5'9" and have used these with mid-calf socks and casual shirts with shorter tails. In that situation, I've had maybe 3 inches of length left. I'd say guys over 6 feet will be ok with normal dress shirts and over-the-calf dress socks, but perhaps not shorter shirts/socks.Tension Points. Because of the Y-design, these naturally attach to the shirttail more toward the side seam than the front/back. I like that location because it keeps the shirt tucked without excessive tension in the front. In other words, the shirt still looks natural in the front rather than overly tight. But some guys may prefer more tension in the front/back rather than toward the sides. These may not work as well for you.Visibility. These are invisible under regular or tailored/slim trousers. But if you wear thin, skin-tight, skinny trousers, they are going to show. That is true of any product, however, not just this one. That said, I think these are about as invisible as a product of this type could be.Socks. These are designed to work with dress socks. I've used them with thin and medium thickness socks with no problem. They aren't designed to work with thick socks.Notes on How to Wear:I think many of the problems people have with these and other shirt stays is that they don't wear them correctly, and more specifically, too tight. If you wear them too tight, they will be uncomfortable and prone to sliding off your shirt or socks. Here's how to wear them correctly.1. Attach the shirt ends to the shirt before you put it on.2. Adjust the clips as loose as they will go.3. Put on your socks and shirt.4. Attach the sock end to your sock about halfway between the outside of your calf and your shin. If your shin is 12 o'clock, attach at about 1030 on your left and 230 on your right. This will help the straps lay closer to your leg and remain less visible.5. Adjust one strap up a bit, then stand up and check for tension. Repeat until the tension is right, then adjust the other side to the same length. You will know the tension is correct when you stand tall and the straps appear and feel tight but you feel little or no pressure on your shoulders.

Great Product, great gift for those who need to keep shirts tucked, but just can't seem to. Works best with dress socks.
Very helpful for keeping your shirt tucked. I recommend highly for guys with muscular legs and hips like me because when we wear tucked shirts, they often come untucked because of the shifting of the shirt fabric. These are comfortable to wear, minimal rubbing on the legs. The securing mechanism is great, in normal movement, it does not come undone; just don't run any Marathons with this. The bathroom situation is a little annoying at first because when you do a #2, you have to detach it from your socks, but once you wear this enough, you get used to it, and you realize that it really isn't that bad because you're going to have a perfectly tucked shirt. I saw this product in a Teaching Men's Fashion video, and the way he pitched it, I do not disagree with at all. I love this product and I definitely recommend to any man whose shirts just can't stay tucked, or for a man whose shirts go untucked because of movement that is required by their job. This product is what's called a "shirt-stay", and is a staple of military uniforms. This makes complete sense now because those in the military need to look proper while they are constantly moving. They cannot stop and tuck in their shirt every 5 minutes, so they use a shirt stay and believe me, IT WORKS WONDERS. I love this product, and it would be a great gift idea for a man or woman in your life who needs to keep their shirt tucked, but just cannot seem to keep it that way.

They definitely work!
I've used these a handful of times now with dress pants and suit pants. They do work really well, once they're attached you never worry about your shirt, it's properly tucked in all day, and the clips never come undone. One thing of concern is length, I have a 32" inseam and these are barely long enough for my legs with a normal dress shirt and dress socks. I gave 4 stars because they're difficult to put on so that you cannot see them pushing on the back of your pants when your knee is bent. I think a superior design would be to make the part that attaches to the back of your shirt longer. But I did find a front-biased way to wear them so you don't notice them. Things to thing about: These make using the restroom a bit awkward at first, but it is possible to do this without taking them off. Also, women love the way you look with them on, but they don't seem to like seeing them when you take your pants off. Not something I would worry too much about though. Overall I would recommend these and I regret not buying them sooner!

These work great!
I was unsure how I was going to like this idea of clips on my socks as I hate the way shoes or boots feel against my leg with out socks on. It took me a few times wearing them to figure out the placement of the clios to limit the rubbing. I walk about 10 to 15k steps a day easily and my shirt stays tucked perfectly. I dont even feel I am wearing them anymore. It has been about 2 months of daily wear and there has been no problems with the craftsmanship . If I could make 1 suggestion it would be to add a 3rd strap for the shirt for a portly guy like me .

Top Quality
These were my first pair of shirt stays. I bought them for a wedding I was attending to and they exceeded my expectations. I danced all night long and my shirt stayed tucked in. They are a bit hard to put on at first, granted this was my first time wearing shirt stays. I believe with practice it should become an easy feat. They are easily adjustable and feel sturdy. Would most definitely recommend it!

Awesome product
These are the best shirt stays you can buy. They are not plain black ones that I have seen at some men's clothing stores and offer a bit of color and character with the different colors and leather bits that accent the design. The looks are great, but the quality and function are even better. Materials are quality and have held up perfectly afet several weeks of use. This will be my go-to brand if these ever need replaced.
