I don't leave reviews but this greatly exceeded my expectations. I received it today and stripped approx. 100' of copper wire in various sizes from 1/8" to 3/8 " braided and solid copper mixed and it worked great. Although it's not fool proof. It takes some learning of the proper adjustments then its a breeze.

Was going to buy the electric one. But I’m glad I didn’t. This one works really good. It is way bigger than I thought. But I will buy it again if I have to. Really great product

One thing to learn with this is to make an adjustment; if it's too high, it will keep popping out. But once you find the right adjustment level, wow, it works easily. It did take a few tries to figure it out. Pretty sure we lowered it as much as possible. I think it's been a minute since I used it. I was gonna return it, but it was worth it to keep it. And using a drill on it makes it so simple i went through a entire bin of copper cables in about 3 hours

Built like a tank. I don't mind time spent deburring and lubricating these sorts of tools because at this price point you can't expect a manufacturer to spend that time. I made some improvements to my handle so that they rotating grip worked far better than the way it was supplied and I processed several hundred ft. of 3/0 THWN hand cranking with very low effort. The fit and design of the rotating handle could be better than supplied but perhaps not at this price point. How they make a tool this good at this price point is amazing. I haven't tried it with many light gauge conductors, but I'm sure it could be dialed in for most things you could throw at it.

The best wire stripper ever. This has saved my husband and I an extremely amount of time when stripping wire! As a stay at home mom with an electrician husband who brings me copper all the time for my allowance this has been a live saver. Super fast and easy to use! It is self explanatory! We always get compliments and wows when using this tool at the recycling center because of how fast it gets the job done.

I’m very impressed with this manual wire stripping machine. It’s solidly built, easy to set up, and works smoothly on different wire sizes. The adjustable blade makes clean, precise cuts without damaging the copper, which saves a lot of time compared to stripping wires by hand.

I’ve used this wire stripper to strip roughly 1,500 feet of wire and I’ll just put together the pros and cons. I mainly used it to strip #10 stranded copper wire, and some #6 and #8. The good: • It is definitely faster than stripping it by hand. • The blade has stayed sharp and does its job well. • It works great with #8 wire and bigger. The bad: • The blade and the roller it is attached to slips CONSTANTLY and is very frustrating. There is also no way to stop it from moving around unless you weld the metal that holds the blade to the frame. • Due to the blade slipping around, it often does not cut the wire enough or cuts it so deep that the copper gets cut and becomes very sharp when you try to pull off the insulation. I’ve stuck my hands more times than I can count, even with gloves on. I have to keep a knife on hand to cut the parts of the wire that the stripper didn’t originally cut on each and every wire I strip. • The feed holes do absolutely nothing to keep the wire centered on the roller. Even when using the correct size feed hole. I actually just ended up using the stripper backwards without the feed hole plate and used my hands to guide the wire since that was more effective. However this is pretty dangerous for obvious reasons. • Getting the blade height perfect is very time consuming and quite annoying. I’ve had to spend more time than I should just to get the blade at the perfect height. And even then it still strips very inconsistently. All in all, if you’re planning on using this wire stripper for #8 wire and bigger, I think it’s a good investment as the bigger wire keeps the blade centered a little better. But there are way better strippers out there and if you strip anything smaller, I highly recommend finding a different stripper as this one will just drive you crazy. If you strip a lot of wire like I do, just spend a little more and get a better stripper. You will thank yourself in the long run.

It was easy to use and well made... it was more than I expected for the price I paid. The bolts were provided which made it easy to connect to my work bench. I stripped wires for 3 hours tonight and it worked perfectly. Things to improve would be the set-up instructions as they were noticeably missing. If you buy this I would suggest the following: • I found the best setup was to have the wire feed hole set to a position below the top of the feed wheels (look at attached picture to see where I set the wire feed hole). This prevented the wire from moving to the sides. • Don't cut braided aluminium wire. It turned the wire to very sharp splinters. Straight aluminium wire is good though. Besides the time it took to figure out the best wire feed position it worked well. Once it's setup it moves through wire quickly.
