Like others mentioned here, this is the real deal... No difference btwn this item and the Southwire 6/3 wire bought at H.Depo*... the size, length (50ft), maker, same quality as any other Southwire is correct. Only difference is the price. Hats off to the seller in still selling quality wire at a working man's price and not caught up with the weekly markups at big box stores. Please continue the value. The ground had the paper wrap on it. Said 'Southwire' on the outside wrap, and UL code on wire as it should. Buy with confidence. The house renovating, old range wire was a 8/2 wire, 3 prong receptacle, with a 40A double breaker on panel. UPgraded this with a EV rated 4 wire receptacle, new range whip-4 wire, and this Southwire 6/3 cable, with new double 50A breakers. Everything working perfectly, NEC up to date code wise, and can supply alot more juice now. Thanks.

Exactly as expected

This is good wire, plain and simple. I bought the 50-foot roll of Southwire 6/3 stranded copper SIMpull NM-B for a new 240-volt circuit, and after handling it I have no complaints about the quality. This is substantial cable. You have three 6-gauge copper conductors plus the ground, so don't expect it to handle like a piece of 12/2 Romex. That said, the stranded conductors and Southwire's SIMpull jacket make a noticeable difference when you're trying to route something this heavy through framing and around reasonable bends. The outer jacket also feels considerably better than some of the cheaper cable I've handled. I was specifically looking for something that wasn't going to have the sheath tearing up every time it rubbed against a hole in the framing. Mine arrived as the genuine Southwire product, properly packaged and clearly marked. The conductors are substantial, the jacket is tough, and everything about it looks and feels like the same professional-grade cable you'd expect to find at one of the big-box electrical departments. At nearly $250 for 50 feet, nobody is going to call 6-gauge copper cheap. Copper is expensive, period. But electrical wiring buried in your walls is one of those places where saving a few dollars on some questionable off-brand cable doesn't make much sense to me. I'd rather buy known-quality copper, wrestle it into place once, and hopefully never have to think about it again. Heavy, legitimate Southwire cable with a good jacket and stranded conductors that make a difficult size of wire a little easier to work with. This is the kind of wire I don't mind putting inside my own house.

As described and Pictured other than Ground Wire plenty of Power to Carry the Load as Needed..

I needed cable to run a new 50amp circuit for my RV and chose this b/c of the price - a bit less than others on the market. I'm very pleased with how it has worked out. Had to run the line up the garage wall in a PVC tube and through the ceiling and then back down the wall to the service box and it was relatively easy to do since this wire does not have a heavy outer coating and is relatively easy to manipulate. That said, the description said it could easily be pulled through pipe and that was not quite as easy as I would have liked tho I did eventually get it through the channel. Over all I'm very pleased and would highly recommend this.

I have a 2,400 sq ft house & am installing an emergency generator. It is a 12.5 kilowatt genset that has a 240V outlet plug. While redoing the bathroom, I drilled sill holes & ran this cable from the gen plug in the second story overhang to the service panel. I am installing an RV plug-in box on one end and a 50 amp breaker on the panel with a sliding lock out to keep it safe. I am running 50 amp at 240V under 50 ft so 6 gauge will work safely. Electricians would tell me I could use 8 gauge but it would heat up some. I asked them if 6 was fine. They said yes. I then asked why use 8 when 6 is safer and $25 more. No answer. I also asked about the solid core bit. My question was should I run solid core cable thru the walls or would stranded cable work as well. I never got an answer from anyone including the city inspector. I only want to do this once and do it correctly. Anyways. This cable said it was solid core. Might be. But mine came in stranded core. But it WAS 6 gauge 3 wire 240 cable.

Received Southwire 6/3 SIMpull Romex. Perfect for adding a 50 amp, 220v outlet in the garage, and at a $75 savings over the local big box store. Beware, this is stiff, heavy wire and can be challenging to pull to the panel. Could have used 6/2 for my welder, but went 6/3 for future EV charging.

Good quality

Received a shrink wrapped Southwire Romex SIMpull NM-B wire! Obviously I was aware and this cable works and there is no issue with it. If you're installing to code, this doesn't meet the Canadian CEC; Canadian Electrical Code requires NMD90. It is pretty much equivalent to NMD90, except the naked ground wire is 10 gauge instead of the NMD90 which has a 8 gauge ground wire... but the most important here is its ampacity! NMD90 is supposedly good for 75 amp circuit compared to NM-B which is about 55 amp!! Know your code!
