Review: well built, no frills, easy to output into big stereo system - I’m a Boomer with a large collection of vinyl records bought back in the day. My expensive component-style turntable (with all the bells-and-whistles) is on permanent loan to one of my Millennial kids, so I got this as an inexpensive ‘no frills’ turntable to plug into my stereo system. I really like it. There are ‘RCA’ type red/white jacks in the back to output signal to my stereo’s amplifier. The output signal is strong; I have to set my amplifier down to at least -20dB, and the jacks’ output volume is independent of the volume control on the record player. Of course, the player can be used with just it’s own built-in twin stereo speakers, but the speakers had to be sort of small to fit inside the case, and aren’t all that good at bass. They can be turned up quite loud; I measured over 90 dB, but with distortion when you get that loud. Otherwise, sound similar to a medium sized radio. The tracking weight of the stylus cannot be adjusted, but it feels like it is about the right weight when you use the finger handle to carefully set the stylus down on the record. There are two speeds, 45 and 33 1/3 rpm that cannot be fine-tuned. I timed it for 50 revolutions at 33 1/3 and it was the correct 90 seconds. I have noticed no wow or flutter. A spindle-adapter for 45 rpm records is included in it’s own special nook. I had no 45 records to test. The spindle is pretty tall. The only other control (other than on/off/volume and RPM) is a switch for “autostop”. It comes with autostop set to “on”, and the turntable starts to turn when the stylus is above the platter, and, for most records, turns off when it reaches the end of the album-side, leaving the stylus resting on the stationary platter. If you turn the autostop to “off” it keeps turning when you place the arm in it’s rest, so that mode is not suitable for changing a record. I personally prefer to hear a record keep turning after reaching the end for the sound to remind me to take action on it. It comes with a 5 volt / 1 amp usb AC power adapter and a cable to connect to the device. It is not battery-powered, but this voltage/amperage is typical of lower-power usb ports, and I think it would work with a typical usb battery-powered power block, or off a computer. The suitcase design gives a nice retro look. Case is solid and feels like wood. The stylus arm has a clamp to hold it in place when carrying. The 45 rpm spindle-adapter is not secured, but I did not hear it clattering around when carrying it like a suitcase. It ships with a twisty-tie securing the stylus arm and a protective cover for the stylus assembly, which needs to be pulled off before first use (in a direction parallel to the stylus arm). I have some concern that the 45 rpm spindle-adapter could bump into an unprotected stylus if I am careless carrying it closed. Overall, I am quite delighted with this product as a way to play my records into my stereo system.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty cool!
*by S***. on 27 April 2024*

I’m enjoying this a lot. It’s classic and modernity all in one. The Bluetooth works seamlessly and the record player is also effortless. Both sound great. My only complaints are that I feel like the volume could be just a hair louder. Even at max settings it’s loud, just not as loud as you’d think with two big speakers. And the other complaint is that the black part of the player wobbles around. Like, the ENTIRE black part. It’s almost like it’s loose. I’ve never owned a record player before so I can’t say if it’s supposed to be like that but I don’t think it is. I planned on using it primarily as a Bluetooth speaker anyways. Idk though. Overall very happy with it though. It’s really cool and makes for good decoration as well.
