does it work on clothes

Yes it can. It can test all materials color difference such as cloth, paint, plastic, paper, leather ect.

will this meter tell you the PMS Color number when it scans the color?

The meter provides the CIE color coordinates and will calculate the difference between two or more samples.

I need the colorimeter to measure the color of cell phone screens, it is possible to give it that use?

For cell phone screens, because it has light and shine, normal colorimeter can not test. We have another model AMT508 which can test cell phone screens but it is very expensive, price is USD6800 with shipping. Please contact us if you need this Color and Haze Meter AMT508, we would like to send you details and user manual by email.
