let's start with these are good lights. they work fine,, nice and BRIGHT. but Houston we have a problem or two......1: the lights are NOT heavy duty water resistance. the ones in the original kit were.2: the plug end on these are MALE, the ones on the bike are FEMALE.... meaning I need a MALE to MALE adapter because the original kit has FEMALE plugs on the light strips and MALE on the controller.3: these are WIRED differently from the original set. the lights are not in sync with the originals, or just don't work.the original kit and these are ALL KINGSHOWSTAR brand.to correct 2 of the 3 problems I did the following.1: I bought some extension cables. I took those extensions and made one 3 way splitter. the three way splitter has a single female for the input and 2 female and 1 male for the output.(for the FRONT set)remember my original set uses male output from the control box and female ends on the light strings. the add-on set is the opposite.and for the rear set I cut the ends off and replaced them with FEMALE ends.2: I had to rearrange the wires on the connectors. for the most part I just had to pull the pins out. i switched the BLUE and the Black wires and it worked fine.was a pain in the ***. I had to take them completely apart to get the heat shrink replaced. you have to cut the original off.I did manage to get them ALL working and in sync with the lights already on the bike. I have YET to install the additional lights due to it being so cold. i'm afraid they wont stick very well.as for the water resistance,, well I need to pick up some clear silicone and dab some on the ends,,,HOPEFULLY that will fix the third problem.
