Coverage not great
Grass blades are very thin, hair like, so you really don't get the lush coverage you would expect.

Buying more tonight
The "before" photo was taken on Sept 2, when I was getting ready to hoe thru an accumulation of dead crabgrass and succulents that had taken over the border around my house. The "after" photo shows the area as it looked this morning (9/14). (Use birdhouse and air conditioner as points of reference between photos.) After hoeing and pulling out sod, I evened things out with a rake, aerated with a pitchfork, then put down some Jonathan Green Love Your Soil (for strong root system), then watered a bit, then filled in missing soil with some Garden Magic (sterilized topsoil), then a bit more Love Your Soil Finally, I sprinkled a goodly amount of this Fast Grow Grass Seed, raked it in a little, and watered again. After this planting, I watered twice a day, more or less, until the new grass was a couple inches high. The grass didn't take long to come up--maybe 4 or 5 days?--and as you can see, it's looking great. There's a number of lawn-disruptive projects going on at our house right now, so I'm buying more tonight!

I don't know what this is but is not grass
It grows fast. It germinated quickly, However, is not grass. It's some kind of very thin and weak plant. You can see in the picture where my grass is and next to it is this thing. As I lightly rake to get the leaves out this comes out with it. But in the end is better than "Scott's" which never germinated.

This grass is awesome!
I honestly wasn't sure if my yard would even grow grass as it was nothing but sandy dirt when we bought the place, because of that I started off with 2 bags to see what would happen. After about a week and a half I had a ton of grass where I had put the seeds. I've since ordered 6 more bags and will probably end up getting another 4 to fill in the spots I missed once all of it grows in and I can see where it is needed. I'm really happy with this purchase. Also worth noting is that in the pictures it is still growing and some of the bare spots are likely from my dogs running around moving the seeds before they sprouted, I feel like once it grows in enough that I just have to fill in the bare spots I'll end up with a full yard of grass :)

This Seed Grows and Fast
I have lived in my house for 12 years and my front yard is almost all shade I have tried everything (including sod that died in year two, yes I watered it) on this yard, grass seed, clover you name it hell I would have been happy with crab grass. I started with all dirt that's how bad the "lawn" was I power raked it and simply spread the seed (I did not put any loom over the seed but did put a half a bag of scotts turf builder lawn food I had from the year before) and watered the heck out of it everyday by day 6 you could see it sprouting and by day 10 full lawn green and plush. This seed works and is one of my best purchases on Amazon. Try it you won't be disappointed.

It grew grass... a little bit.
I am in Florida... it is spring... pretty much anything and everything is growing now, but I was not really happy with this grass seed. I would guess that about 25% of the seeds grew grass. It was all Rye grass. I really heaped it on bare spots and raked it in good. I don't have any problems with pests, but my soil is acidic. My sprinklers water 3 times a week. I got some patches of rye grass, but not much else. This is one month after I applied. The Rye is not tolerant to heat and it looks wilted later the same day after watering.... so not really satisfied with the results. I guess I'll now try plugs or something else.
