I wanted to give this mug a fair shot before writing a review—several uses in, and I can confidently say it’s a winner. This temperature control mug does exactly what it claims to do: it keeps coffee hot (not just warm) from the first sip to nearly the last.The mug is easy to use, with one intuitive button and a clear indicator light showing three heat settings: warm, hot, and “piping.” I prefer my coffee piping, and the high setting keeps it at just the right temperature for me. Battery life has been solid—up to 2.5 hours as advertised—and the five blue indicator lights make it easy to track remaining charge. Of course, using the higher heat setting drains the battery a bit faster, but that’s expected.One standout feature is the included charging base. When I’m at my desk, I keep the mug on the base while sipping, which helps preserve battery life. The base has two raised contact points that align with the inset conductor rings on the mug's bottom, so there’s nothing to plug in—just set it down and go. Simple and effective.There’s also an auto-off feature that detects when the mug is empty. While I haven’t tested it deliberately, I’ve noticed the last sip is sometimes cooler, which makes me think the mug powers down before it’s completely empty—a smart safety feature, especially if you’re forgetful or distracted (no one wants melted plastic or worse!).The mug holds a standard 8-ounce pour comfortably, even with room for cream—though I drink mine black and untainted. It also does a great job maintaining heat even without the lid, though I imagine it retains heat even better with it on.Bottom line: this mug offers excellent usability and functionality at a significantly lower price point than some of the better-known competitors. If anything changes down the road, I’ll update my review—but as of now, this is a fantastic value and a great buy.

The mug came well packaged. The directions are very easy to understand. Initial impressions of the mug: great color, substantial weight but not too heavy, sleek design, and impressed. I'm a heavy coffee drinker, so I drink coffee from about 8:30 am to lunch, usually 11:30am. I work from home so this mug is super useful for my situation. I like my coffee hot so the different levels of heat was great. I mostly used the hotter two out of the three levels. I put my milk or creamer in the mug first then adjusted the heat to the highest level then put my coffee in the mug. The lid is very useful for keeping the coffee hot and also heating the coffee up takes less time with the lid on. After my cream and coffee are really hot (about 10 minutes) I adjust the temperature to the middle level. When the mug is fully charged it lasted at least 3 hours of continuous use at the middle or hottest setting. I could see this mug working for someone who works from home or in an office setting. However, the shape of the mug doesn't fit in my car's drink holder so it's not great for travel in my opinion. It is also really easy to hand clean. Be aware, don't put it in the microwave or dishwasher. Overall I would recommend this self heating mug.

Before this Kepwam mug, my last smart mug was a disappointment. The app was unhelpful and the mug disconnected from the account every time I used it (which isn't a sentence I ever anticipated saying, but here we are).This Kepwam mug doesn't need an app. Just press the power button (thankfully on the side and not underneath the mug, like some other brands), set your temperature, and you're off. I set up the charging plate on my home office desk, and I'll probably keep the mug charging most of the time, but it'll be nice to brew a cup and then hang out in bed or on a couch and drink my hot coffee at my own pace.The mug size is perfect for me. Fits right under my single serve brewer and allows room for the maximum size + half and half. The added lid is a nice touch for anyone worried about spills or if you want to take your mug out on the town.Overall a great choice, cheaper than competitors, but gets the job done and then some.

Nice cup..stays fairly hot..doesn’t hold a charge as long as I’d like..but pleased overall

I love it, it feels very sturdy & I love that it has a button with the heat options so it doesn’t need an app. Keeps my coffee/tea nice & warm throughout the day (I like to sip on my coffee for hours lol) It’s half the price of Ember mugs. & to top it all off it comes with a lid! Really good gift idea too.

Bought this in the beautiful green color - it's even nicer in person. The heat function really works! You still don't want to leave your coffee in it too long or it can alter the taste, but with all the interruptions that seem to happen the minute you sit down with a fresh, hot cup of coffee, this is a game changer! No more luke warm, lackluster brew! The coffee really does stay hot for a LONG time! Easy to use and easy to clean and less than half the cost of the one I initially considered!
