BARKBAY Dog Harness for Large Dog No Pull 2 Leash Clips Dog Vest

This harness size medium fit perfectly for my pug and it extend bigger if he were to gain some weight and it held him up pretty good when I held him by the strap & he was very confident and happy with his new harness.

I got this in size small for my new, Labradoodle puppy, at 8wks old and 13 lbs. Tightened the adjustable straps all the way to fit her. Seems durable, is nicely padded, cute too. Didn't take her long to forget it was on her. 😅 Very functional and very helpful with training a new puppy! Seems much more natural and she does not mind hardly at all being directed and moved by the leash hooked to the sturdy metal ring on her back (more like a parent dog carrying them?) - as opposed to the traditional option of a collar on the neck or the great option for strong, older dogs: the awesome, tried and true Gentle Leader halter (which I have used for 10+ yrs with my last Lab mix and will use with my new pup when she's ready). I've never really trained a puppy before 😅 (adopted previous one at 8 months old and he already had some skills), so I'm so very impressed at how this harness has taken a brand new pup, completely unfamiliar with leashes or anything other than roaming free or being carried, and within 1 week, gotten her used to walking on a leash and following the "(Name), Come" command (as I always say it before and during leading her with the leash, and occasionally with the handle when necessary) ON AND OFF the leash at least 40-50% of the time!!! 😃 GREAT for bonding!!! Keep the pup nearby but so manageable (as they're always running off and chewing on everything! 😅) LOVE the handle strap on the back!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ SO helpful with a spry little puppy wiggling and running all over the place! 😂 Love that you have the option of attaching the leash to the chest, as well - may use this in the future, but right now she just wants to chew on and play with the leash if I do. 😅 SOOO glad I got this before getting my new pup! ❤️😊 *Only critique: it would be helpful to have pockets to store the extra strap length in so that it is not hanging freely and enticing chewing or being otherwise annoying to the dog, when you need to have the straps tightened/shortened.*

UPDATE # 2 - I contacted the manufacturer with a photo of the break and their customer service is excellent. They are very sorry about what happened and are sending me a replacement. They will be working on improving the design so this doesn't happen again. Back up to 5 star! UPDATE - Less than one week after giving thi a 5 star review, I have had to downgrade it to a 3. This morning on the beach with my 6 month old German Shepherd, he was pulling hard to try and chase birds. In a split second my husband was left with a leash attached to a broken harness and no dog! One of the harness straps completely broke and my dog instantly escaped the harness like Houdini! I'm very disappointed, as I really believed this harness was sturdy, but if my German Shepherd can break it at only 6 months old, we have a problem. PREVIOUS REVIEW - LESS THAN ONE WEEK PRIOR.... I originally bought the medium size when my German Shepherd puppy was 3 months old, but after less than 2 months he outgrew it and I had to buy the large size. He is now 6 ½ months old and 65 pounds and has been wearing the large size for almost 2 months and there is still room for him to grow. I love this harness. Not only does it look cute, but it is very sturdy and fits nicely. My puppy is a very strong puller, so hooking the leash to the back hook isn’t that great. Attaching the leash to the front hook does slow him down and stop him from pulling, but with him it is still a little awkward. I found a great way to use it which makes me feel more secure, more in control and less fearful of one of the hooks breaking off – that is, I loop the leash a couple of times through the back handle and then hook it to the front hook. That method is a tad clumsy and it’s not for times when you want to quickly unleash him, but it works great for longer walks and I feel more in control with him. When he outgrows this one I will buy the largest size.

I've had this harness for a few years and it has worked well. It's fits my Boston Terrier and he doesn't mind it. I don't use it the no pull way, so can't comment on that aspect, but it's sturdy and the straps are somewhat easy to adjust. I dock it one star because it can be a little cumbersome to adjust all the straps when I have to fit my pup with a coat on winter walks, but not really a big issue. I wish it had a stronger reflective coating on it as it is not too bright. Recommended.

Large harness I was so happy o have it for my black mouth cur took a minute to figure how to make it bigger and it’s perfect. Also enjoy the reflector striped sides very sturdy ! And it’s cute ! Also she’s a lunger so it’s great to have that extra handle !

We bought lots of harness from this company because of the durability and the stylish colors they offer. The number one reason we keep buying these aside from other high priced brand is the size XL fits my dogs 44 inch chest. I totally recommend this company for big dog owners.

Very impressed with the quality of this harness. MEDIUM is the perfect fit for our young Corgi with a loose but secure fit with more than enough room to expand as she grows. It feels as high quality or better than others that are twice as expensive. It slides on easily and the buckles are very nice. Adjustments are intuitive and secure. We've tried a handful of different brands but this is perfect and plan to purchase again if/when needed. Only used on walks for a couple days and writing this review. Again: medium should be perfect for a Corgi! Non-inventivised review, just genuinely impressed with the quality of this product!

I was so excited for this harness. The pattern, materials, and quality was absolutely beautiful and perfect, but when I went to try it on my furbaby the hole that you fit her head through was way too small. There are adjustment straps around the head area, but it’s mostly for show, there’s no way to loosen it. I was able to fit it over her head, which was very dumb of me, especially since it was already a tight fit getting it over her head, but when it was time to take it off I got so scared I almost cut the harness off of her because I was afraid of trying to take it off without hurting her because the fit was so tight. There’s no wiggle room for her head. My furbaby is a size xs, but that doesn’t mean to make the fitting to fit over her head way too small that’s it’s almost impossible to fit her. Another thing I noticed was the chest piece sits a little too high on the chest so it’s uncomfortable to lay down or sit comfortably. You can see in the pictures how uncomfortable the chest piece makes her feel. She wouldn’t lay down and couldn’t sit without feeling stiff and stuck. Hopefully this company makes some improvements to be able to have more adjustment room to fit it over your furbaby’s head comfortably and make adjustments to the chest piece so furbaby’s can lay or sit in whatever position comfortably. I was so disappointed because besides the head fitting and chest piece issue I would’ve absolutely loved this harness and kept it

Very impressed with how sturdy the harness is and, because it is slightly cut-away, it looks far more comfortable over my dogs chest and "armpits" than his previous harness was.

Medium size for our 7 month old 15.4kg cocker spaniel who pulls beyond belief. Best harness so far and I've bought several which have been rubbish. There's room for growth with this size and I've tightened it to the smallest is can go. Couldn't use the front loop, which is a shame due to his pulling but it kept pulling to the side of him. I put this down to it being slightly big. Very happy though and it didn't get too muddy either. Easy to clean.

I bought this harness in January 2021. Previously I would buy my harnesses from PetSmart and I found myself replacing them every 5-6 months due to them ripping and falling apart. I decided to try elsewhere and landed on this due to the features. I liked that it was reflective for our night walks, and that it has a handle on it as my dog is reactive/likes to lunge. I was weary and thought after my dog pulling with me holding the handle I would have to replace it within a couple of months but I was so pleasantly surprised. It’s been almost two years since I bought it and wow it still looks like when I bought it. I thought about it the other day and decided I just had to leave a review as I was so impressed with the quality and material and how well it stands up to my dog that loves to pull. My dog is around 50lbs but lean, I got a size L and it fits if I adjust the straps which allows for a lot of tightening/loosening. Definitely worth the money - I usually would spend $30 every 6 months. Couldn’t recommend this harness more!!

My dog seems to be happy wearing this, even though he's been used to a leather collar for many years, he's adapted easily. He is unable to speak so can't say how comfortable it is, but he is certainly very much more secure. It is well-designed and has a quality feel, similar to that you find in rock climber harnesses. It is easy to put on the dog. Reflective strips are a nice touch too. It's branding is also subtle which I prefer. He's not an Formula One or Nascar racing car/auto to be emblazoned.
