Amazing kite, make sure you have powerful winds to enjoy
Just make sure you have the wind.Took this out for the first time today, the day started out with 30 mph winds and by the time I was out of work it settled to 6-12 mph. Now I could have been in a "doughnut" is in my field was sunk in or trees in the way, but I had a heck of time getting to stay up. Like a jet without propulsion these kites need a LOT of wind or you will find it it falling gently back to earth in no time.Upset, bummed, you name it. I was expecting the 2 feet of additional wingspan to help get this in the air, but you need real wind. The kind of wind that that makes your cloths flap in the wind, blows off your hat, pushes you when you walk, or even picks up/blows around the kite as you run back to your lines. Not the kind of wind that "moves" the leaves, if branches are not falling down, dust in your eye you will not have a fun time with this kite.Meaning if you live in an area that experiences high speed winds only a few times a year, please look elsewhere, as it may not be worth your money, if you live in a state where you are literally sick/tired of the wind you will have a blast. I can not stress this enoughNow when the wind did kick in the, the speed, maneuverability, control was all top notch as expected from a kite of this caliber. You will dive, loop, and power through the sky as the kite screams across the sky. For the cumulative 15 minutes (of my hour long visit) it was quite fun.Again, have wind lots of it (12-15 mph) CONSISTENT!, figure how many days a year you have these speeds and then factor in if it will be a worthy investment.

Don't hesitate, just buy it.
I cannot be more impressed with this kite. First off it's massive, my gf is 5'7" and this thing almost picked her up off her feet. Albeit we were flying in 20mph winds on the beach with 30mph gusts. This kite handled it with no issues and was an absolute blast to fly. The build quality is phenomenal and being it's a prism, you can always buy replacement parts online for anything that ever breaks. I was on the fence between this or the jazz and I'm incredibly happy I went with the bigger option.

Love Prism Quantum!
This is the first time I have reviewed a product on Amazon -We live in Central Washington, where there is plenty of wind. With the added time at home, I thought I'd try a stunt kite. We had one years ago when the kids were little and we'd go to Oregon coast. - 24 years ago.I wasn't sure about spending the money on this kite, but the reviews convinced me - and it is worth every penny of it.I have had it for almost 2 months and have flown it in some pretty strong winds - up to 30 mph.. Our front yard is about 1 acre, but the house creates some turbulance and we have a couple of cherry trees that offer some challenges. I have had a couple of unplanned crashes in these trees that resulted in getting an extension ladder, nippers, and a knife to cut some string. The Quantum is incredibly well made and durable.I normally fly solo, so it takes a bit to figure out how to launch it in strong winds by yourself. But, you will figure it out.I am so impressed by the design, & integrity of the Quantum, that I have purchased other Prism kites - The Flip and the Synapse 200.Don't be cheap, invest in quality and you will be glad you did.

Arrived slightly used :(
Kite itself seems fine, but it appears to have arrived “lightly used”. Bag is dirty, there are wear marks on the leading edge and the rubber elbow fittings. Tag on the bag had been removed and line have been rewound poorly. I have purchased 4 or 5 Prism kites over the years (including the discontinued Quantum Pro). I know how beautifully packed these kites are when they come out of the package the first time (and how hard it is to repack them as well). Disappointed.

7' wingspan is freaking sweet!
This was a birthday gift to myself, after owning and loving the Nexus for several months. The 7' wingspan is awesome, the fire colors really shine in the air. It turns a bit slower than the 5' Nexus, but is the one I fly the most lately.I think the larger surface area really aids in flying in a broader wind range, especially "low" 3-5 MPH.My only gripes, hence 4 stars...the lines were off by 6-8", which makes a HUGE difference in fine maneuvering input, so I had to adjust those to dead on even. The other gripe is that the bungees on the wingtips are much stiffer than my Nexus, and the trailing edge spars get stuck pulling through the lower spar connector elbow, making it a pain to fold and unfold and insert into the ferrule for flight assembly.Other than a few gripes, I love the Quantum and feel bad for my Nexus sitting in my closet now. :)

Tons of fun, hardy and easy to learn on
I've played around with stunt kites for the last 25 years. My father had one while growing up. I decided to get back into the hobby and I'm very happy I chose this kite. It's adjustable knots that allow for easier controlled flight in different wind speeds works flawlessly. It has a snappy response to my control and has taken a couple high speed crashes without issue. I have already recommended to my father that he upgrade his quarter of a century old kite for this newer model.
