Definitely not for beginners, which is a bummer because so many of my beginner students want to learn these songs! But for a more practiced individual, it’s wonderful!

No complaints about the product. I was just unprepared for the difficulty (since usually Disney highlight songbooks are a breeze). Just be forewarned that with the exception of "how far I'll go", a lot of these are hard to play - more because they are written sort of recitative style/through-composed instead of being standard song form (like most Disney songs). Also, it's just really hard to translate "you're welcome" to piano since entire sections are basically accompanied only by drum. In this piano version the "drum" is just a repeated minor 2nd in the bass. You'd probably get a better effect just tapping the side of the piano. Absolutely buy it, but just prepared to practice!

Excellent piano arrangements of the soundtrack. In some ways, they are too faithful to the recorded songs, as not everything is suited for the piano. An intermediate player (as I am) could get a lot out of the songs and probably learn to play most of them well, but (at least as a classical music player) some would require fairly advanced playing to render very nicely.

I bought it as a gift but the girlthatI bought it for found the music very challenging. The book came in time for the holidays but is definitely on the advanced side of piano skill and it looks more marketed for young children. I would have given it 5 stars if it had been advertised as advanced level.

The arrangements are simple, but all the main songs are in the book. If you want to have fun singing and playing the Moana soundtrack, this will do the job. If you are looking for elaborate arrangements, you might be disappointed.

Most of the songs in this book are not really for piano and mostly drums, but they did a good job translating the beat to the left hand and the melody to the right hand.

My kids love singing along to the piano soundtrack.

This book is great for the novice student, however as a pro musician who wanted to play this for my 4 year old daughter, it is so simple and doesn’t have the full pieces.This is why it only got a 2 star rating

Check what you're actually getting - the main image and "look inside" do not match. The version I received has far less detail, including no guitar chords.

Perfect for our Moana mad kids. We listen in the car. 30 of the 40 (!) tracks are remixes of the first ten songs but we usually only listen to the first ten anyway before needing a break.

Lots of pictures. Main tunes are there but that only makes 7 songs. Would say you could have a go from grade 3 onwards.

Good book with all the best songs from the film and simple to read. Made a great gift for a budding pianist.
