Case-Mate iPhone 6 Slim Tough - Black/Gold

I have a real love/hate relationship with this case - I've gone thru 2 of them in under 6 months.The positives:- It's light-weight (I hate those bulky cases)- It really does protect your phone (I drop mine at least once/day)- It has a sleek, stylish designThe big negative:- It breaks easily...the plastic is not very durable around the rounded cornes. Though it protects your phone, the outer edge of the case itself snaps :-(So after 2 cases, I think I need to try something else. But if you don't mind buying a replacement case every couple of months, this one is good lol.

Sexy sleek look. Even guys like it and ask where I bought it. Love it but do not take it off too much bc the silver trim part that goes over the black part is flimsy and can break at the volume on/off hole. I used Gorilla glue to glue it back but cannot take it off anymore until I receive my new one. Lol

I would like the case much more, but absolutely cannot stand the lack of engineering that went into the buttons. They made the volume and wake/sleep buttons far too sensitive. The opening to access the silent toggle is nearly unreachable unless you have long nails. Grabbing the phone to pick it up seems to activate one or more of the buttons (either locking the phone or adjusting the volume), even when you don't touch the buttons. Again, I like the case itself and have been living with it for a few weeks now, but would like to find something similar without the button weirdness.

Bought this case as a replacement for the black/silver one I am currently using. Love the case as it has saved my phone on numerous occasions and the design is superb. Didn't expect anything different from what I purchased (except for the color) and was totally disappointed. Somehow it was completely different. There was an external switch for the vibrate/sound button when there was no such button on my original case, and it barely worked. Further, and the reason why I sent this back, the button that covers the power button on the right was broken and placed in the case crooked, so pressing it did not activate the phone, but if you pressed anywhere on the right of the case under the button, the phone lit up! Very poor design, and not even sure if this is really a Case Mate, as I have one and this ain't it!

It's a case.. affordable.. not to big.. lasts about a year.. I usually buy them in pairs.I'm a particular fan of this case because it has a wide opening at the bottom, allowing for it to be used with 30-pin/lightning adapters and older docks.

I love the case! Nice and strong! Feels great in the hand! Gives it the grip the iPhone 6 needs desperately! Makes the buttons feel more tactile! (More click feel) Looks great! Makes it feel bigger of course but the iPhone 6 is perfect size anyway! My only problem is the mute switch is very hard to reach!!

Don't understand many of the negative reviews. I have dropped my phone many times, and the case and phone have held up. The case is slim. The back is not slippery. I think it looks nice.

I am very careful with my phone in general and this is the second slim tough case I have had. The bottom plastic part has now snapped on both cases. Assumed the first one was a fluke but clearly dealing with flimsy material. Case looks very sharp but is of no use if you have to order new one every month

Sturdy cover that will add slight bulk to your phone but offers good protection. The area around the charging port is poorly designed and is prone to breakage even when removing/putting on the cover.I like this case better than others as it's not hard plastic and has a soft touch to it.

Case is good but a little bulky when in handPlus unless u have a very small fingers or long nails mute button is almost impossible to flick up and down

I dropped this case once within the first week of buying it and and it's completely broken. The gold part isn't even attached to the black part anymore and I can no longer use it. It's not worth the money I paid for it.

EDIT AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF USE:After having used this for about 6 months the silver paint started chipping off and the bottom ridge broke. This thing is anything but sturdy and I will stay away from Case Mate in the future.===Pro:+ Slim, subtle design+ Sturdy construction, fairly good grip+ Good camera cutout+ 'Lip' for front impact protection+ Volume buttons work wellCons:- Ring/silent switch is quite inaccessible. I can flip it with a little effort because I have slim fingers but if you don't, you might want to think twice about getting this case.- Bottom ridge gives off creaky soundOverall very happy with this. Recommended.

the case is actually quite thick, its hard to switch the mute button.
