9GreenBox - Red Christmas Cactus Plant - Zygocactus - 4" Pot

I have ordered a Christmas Cactus from you guys before, which was a nice one. But this seller is SO MUCH BETTER, in my opinion. They seem to put ALLOT more effort in there products. The pot that it is in it the pot that it CAME WITH. Which is just right for it at this size. Where as, the other one that I ordered wasn't even in a pot. It was just wrapped in bubble wrap. But, that was a while ago. So I am not worried about it. But again, I LOVE my new cactus. It is BEAUTIFUL. Thank you VERY MUCH

Came with one layer of leafs but soon enough, it grew a lot and looks great. Hoping it will give flowers soon

When I purchased this, I looked not only at the product photo but also the photos in reviews. I buy plants online often, so I know there is some variability in this, but usually you know roughly what you are getting. This is what I received. It is in a 4” pot, as described, but is less than half the size pictured or in many reviews. The tallest section is lest than 3”, and most are about 2”. The product photo and others show larger plants, and I DO mean photos that people posted of what arrived, not what the plant grew into. In addition, one 2” section was completely broken off and laying sideways between the others, like someone just tucked it in there. I wetted the soil and stuck it in, hoping it will root but I’ve found that to be an iffy proposition with these plants. (Yes, I had one before.)As for packaging, that was good but also deceptive. It came in a box that was 4”x4”x15”. The plant was inside a plastic bag and most of the box was filled with styrofoam peanuts. Why ship in such a long box if the thing is less than 7” tall? Also, why ship using toxic, non-recyclable styrofoam filler when there are much more “green” options available? I would think a company called “9Greenbox” would have a much more green ethic. Back to the box: Nowhere on the box was it marked “this end up” with an arrow, which is what SHOULD be done when shipping live plants. Lord only know how USPS and the people in my apartment complex office handled this!The plant also didn’t come with any sort of tag, which I noticed other buyers did receive, and no instructions. It had been a few years since I’ve had one, so I had to look this up online. Only after I went to write this review did I see they were on the product page. Other good plant shippers always include care instructions, regardless of what type of plant it is. Even something as indestructible as mint or ivy comes with instructions! Between this, the size of the plant, and the shipping material, you can do better!UPDATE: Most of this plant died, with almost all the leaves/sections shriveling up and falling off within the first few weeks. I kept replanting any that were even somewhat alive but only one took and grew roots. Only after months of careful care did it start to grow at all. My plant is now 2” tall with a couple new sections growing. (See third photo.) It looks NOTHING like the product photos or the ones other people received. They sent me a half-dead plant, which I should have sent back immediately. In the meantime, I bought one from the grocery store for less money. It’s huge compared to this one and much healthier. (See photo 4) Lesson learned. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS VENDOR.

My plant didn't make it. I tried very hard but no success. I had it planted in a small pot and on my counter for more care that way but it just couldn't make it.

I’ve been wanting one of these plants forever however was hesitant in ordering one from Amazon. I have not been disappointed at all. This plant is thriving and I am so excited to watch it mature and bloom

The care in the packaging & labeling of each individual cutting was EXCEPTIONAL! Buds on every single one! Very impressive & satisfied!

I bought this plant in August 2024 and the Plant hasn’t grown , I think I deserve a refund or replacement.
