Which extension pole should I order to fit this? I don't have any laying around.

Mine has the same thread as a pushbroom -- the easiest way for you is take the brush to your local store (Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, etc) and select the pole that fits your needs best (material, weight, length).

Will this work with a Docapole extension pole. Will the threads fit? If not what pole will work with it?

My husband put it on a paint roller extension pole.

Can this tool be used to clean gutters that do not have gutter guards? Are the bristles made of metal? Are they soft?

the bristles are not metal, but they are fairly stiff. the brush is best used with gutter guards in a sweeping or brushing motion. for this use, it is a great brush. there are better tools to clean gutters without guards imo.
