perhaps the dimensional problems noted in older reviews have been fixed. I attached 1 1/2 flat discharge hose to the barb and it went on like a snug glove - perfect. Only 4 stars however cause of the price.

I have the wrong size. I should have gotten 1 1/4 instead of 1 1/2. It was over priced. I paid $2.00 for the correct size. I paid $13.00 for s size smaller
