2 Years Later..
This is an excellent watch, and I'm glad I bought it!Pros:-Activity tracking is great!-Garmin syncs with Strava-Lots of sensors will pair with this watch-GPS is great!-Very light-Buttons are better than a touchscreen for any water activity (running, swimming, diving, cycling, showering, etc.)-Smartwatch functions well with android OS-I've had the original watchband for 2 years and it hasn't worn out, or shown any signs of it-It's not a massive behemoth that you need to lug around on your wristCons:-Battery life when using GPS gets drained quickly-HR is not accurate unless you are directly running an activity with it in use (or 'broadcasting' heart rate)-Buttons and rim are only plated, so a scratch will be obvious (I have the rose-gold version)-Music syncing is slightly annoying, but playing music is even worse. If you put your hand far enough the music cuts out, so arm swinging whilst running is a culprit. Good earphones help, but this is annoying.Overall I would recommend this to athletes or people who want a GPS. The music is good, but the really useful part about this is I DON'T need to lug my smartphone with me on a run! It's also useful to have a GPS that can display your coordinates/altitude quite easily outside. It was expensive, but I'm glad I bought it because it certainly holds up and has proven to be exceptionally useful.

Best sports watch I have ever owned.
I have had a variety of sports/smart watches before: samsung, fitbit, garmins, apple watch, etc. I have to say for everyday use including sleeping and 1 hour of exercise on a daily basis, this is the best watch I have ever owned. With such usage, it lasts for 4 full days. This might not be as impressive as Garmin Fenix 5 or forerunner 935, but this is smaller, more fashionable, and more convenient with wireless payment. Down to earth, no fancy crazy sport functions. Get what you need as a sporty businessman!

Great watch - controls aren’t intuitive, but a solid choice
The sleep tracking is hit or miss - it just doesn’t read some hours. The mileage is partially off? But think that’s due to Garmin GPS tracking overall, as I have friends with different types of Garmin watches who see the same discrepancies. Working out, the stress and heart rate features are great. All in all a great watch, stores and plays music. The thing about this watch is it’s a little complicated to navigate, none of the controls are intuitive or simple, so get ready to acquaint yourself with it for a bit before getting out there and using it on the road.

Love this Garmin
I had an Apple watch for some time, but when I needed a new smart watch I decided to give Garmin a try. I've been using it daily for about a year. I would say the best thing about this watch is the ease of use, ability to pair earbuds and listen to music, and how quickly it charges. It also counts steps, which I really like and Apple does not have this. GPS is built in so no need to take my phone when hiking or biking. Very durable but also attractive. I have been incredibly pleased with the Garmin Forerunner 645 Music. It's a little more pricey than some Forerunners, but much less than other Garmin smart watches. I think it is well worth the money I paid. I highly recommend this product if you like to keep track of steps, various workouts and other outdoor activities, while at the same time have something nice enough to wear to work daily.

Good Looking Watch, but only some things work well.
I've been learning how to use this for a month now. Some things work very well, though it can be hard to navigate the menus correctly. The full manual that you must download, is dreadful. It is not logically organized and information on many exercises is totally inadequate. I like to judge exercise by HR and Calories. It took help from Support to figure out how to add calories to each of my preferred exercises. Set up is difficult and it takes a while that there are different menus accessed in different ways. One is activated from the Power button, one from the Start/Stop button and another from the Up button. The Menus are a bit of a rabbit warren to navigate.Walking outside--works very well.Treadmill. There is little guidance for how to calibrate it. Even once calibrated it doesn't track well with my tread mill but captures HR and calories well.Bicycling: seems to work fine.Stationary Bike: I'm waiting on an ANT+ sensorUpdate: the ANT+ sensor would continually connect and disconnect but never would record speed or distance. I returned the sensor.Swimming: Very problematic. The minimum pool distance is 15 yards--45 feet. How many people have a pool that long? Mine is 40 feet--13 1/3 yards so I can't set it for that. HOWEVER, it reports distance in feet and is 100% accurate, just doesn't record laps. It cannot record HR or Cals but that is at least clearly indicated.Strength Training: This is easily the WORST functioning exercise. It doesn't record reps properly.Tthere's ZERO guidance on what kind of motion is captured which seems to require, by trial and error, sharp stops, which goes against recommended slow and deliberate motion. There is no guidance on how to change exercises. You seem to have to end and restart the app, not just for changing exercises but changing sets. Plus its recording of calories is useless. While you can see eMails and texts, it only shows some of it, but that's not really a problem.Out of the blue, even when you don't want or need to connect to the phone app, it was hector you to connect.I tried the sleep app once. It flat-out didn't work. Period.Connection for weather is a well-known buggy app.The one thing I find utterly irritating is the constant pressure to connect and compare and compete with other people even complete strangers. Why would anyone in their right mind want that? Far too much of the phone app is dedicated to that and I suspect other competitive watches do the same. So I guess that's more of a criticism of the group. But i can wear this watch anywhere because it looks like a good-looking watch unlike Apple or FitBits that don't look like watches, and I picked an analog face. The charge seems to last forever--haven't run out of battery yet. While when you just click to get your heartrate it's not initially accurate and takes a while to give your actual HR. But when exercising it is totally spot on.This is the 2nd smart watch I've tried. The first was a Samsung Galaxy to match my phone and it was so buggy and inconsistent and unreliable that I had to return it. I'm hoping some of the future firmware updates will fix some of the problems.Just ordered tempered glass screen protectors and extra charging cords. It has now been 2 years that I've had this watch and it (mostly) does what I need it to do. The ANT+ for our stationary bike was replaced with Garmin's own and works very well, although it seems to overstate speed and distance--hard to tell, but it connects nicely. I've also added a Vario rear radar (again, a Garmin product) and it connect very well to the watch, giving my wrist a buzz when a car is approaching. It tells me to check the rear view mirror. The watch links well to the Android App, allowing me to keep family members apprised of where I am. I use WALK, BIKE, INDOOR BIKE, TREADMILL and POOL. TREADMILL requires you to swing your arms or buy a shoe ANT+ sensor.I replaced the plastic band with a black metal band that makes the watch look more like a dress watch and less like a sport watch, and the metal doesn't irritate as the plastic did. I also keep a several screen protectors on hand as I tend to scratch, star, and break them--better than the crystal! I must have gone through 7 or 8 so far. Battery life seems to have diminished a little in 2 years, but not enough to be troublesome.I never figured out how to download music or play it, because I almost always have my phone present. It's still not perfect--but I upped a star and it's a pity Garmin doesn't make any of the Forerunners anymore with the rose gold bezel.

Overall great watch and GPS function
Love my forerunner 645! Great functionality and looks good enough for office wear too. The 645 doesnt seem to be available in Australia and setting up was easy but took a few days for it to properly sync with my Strava; but once it did it’s all systems go :)

A watch that has it all while still looking stylish
Love this watch!! Has everything that I was after plus so much more... originally I was just after a watch that could track my calories burned, HR, steps etc. This watch has all of that plus so many other features that I’m so glad to have! Notifications from my phone, weather, stress meter, music, silent alarm, vo2max... the list goes on! Not to mention the design was exactly what I was after, black with Rose gold is so sleek. It takes a little bit to get used to what each button does but after a couple of weeks it’s second nature

Need for running, this is your watch!
I can not say enough about this watch!!!!! If you are hesitating, don’t! Yes, a lot of money. But you know the saying, “you get what you pay for”, this watch reflects that. I love the size, style and capabilities. I love that it records everything back to the app and that it is super accurate. I have not had an Apple Watch, but have had friends use them. If you are wanting this to train, this is your watch. I am training for a marathon and it has made the experience much easier to track. I also love how user friendly it is. I am yet to download music, but I can’t wait. I have had the watch 3 weeks now and have no taken it off. Great purchase! I have had the Fitbit and this watch is leaps and bounds better! I have a super tiny wrist, and it looks great. The pic I have posted makes the watch look bigger than how it actually looks.

Female user: Hinge broke after 1.5yrs usage
I purchased the watch in 8/2019, it is working well even i need to syncs/pair with the phone again & again. I am pretty satisfying with the function until today. The watch suddenly fell off & i thought i didn't tie it well...but i found the hinge is broken into a little piece. I am a female, do not wear it on bathing, heavy works & never drop it, just wear it daily like the regular non-water proof watch. I am wondering why the plastic is so fragile, it's less than 2 years time. The body itself is still working fine. But I can't wear it when the hinge is broken.I am not sure if Garmin will have the warranty of this damage. Ummm my luck if there is!
