Thai Crystal Deodorant Stone in Decorative Basket, Unscented, 3.5 Ounce

I've been using the Thai Crystal Deodorant stones for about 10 years now. It's a wonderful product and really changed the way I use deodorant. I can tell when I forget to use it, and living in the desert for the majority of that time frame deodorant was really important. Haha. One stone will last me about 10-16 months, so it's clearly a good value for the money.It does take some getting used to, as you have to wet the stone before applying, so it can drip during application. I have super sensitive skin and the only time it has irritated, is if I apply immediately after shaving.The only real complaint I have about the product is that it can get slippery, and when dropped turns into a lot of tiny and sharp shards. Cleaning it up is like trying to clean glass. Outside of this, I have no reservations in recommending to anyone.

I’ve struggled with deodorants losing their effectiveness after a few months, but the Thai Crystal Deodorant Stone has been amazing so far! It keeps me fresh naturally without any bad smells, and I love that it comes in such a pretty decorative basket. Gentle on the skin and effective, this has quickly become my go-to. Highly recommend!

Quick background. Many years ago I decided to try these crystal deodorants and found one that was available at a local store. A few minutes after applying the deodorant I noticed a burning irritation, but I kept using it because people online were saying your body needs to get used to the new deodorant. However it only got worse with each application. After more research I discovered that most of the cheap versions of these deodorants use Ammonium Alum which can cause some people to have irritation, and the better versions actually use Potassium Alum. I found a Potassium Alum version online and problem solved! So now, many years later my Potassium Alum crystal deodorant is running low and I need a replacement but I can't find the original brand name of the one I bought before, so I go searching for a different brand of Potassium Alum crystal deodorant and decided to try this one. The description on the Amazon page does say that they use Potassium Alum, but on the package it just says "mineral salts". Well, I applied it after my shower this morning and within a few minutes I experienced burning irritation. I knew right away that there's no way this is Potassium Alum, it's the cheaper Ammonium Alum, because only the Ammonium Alum causes me irritation like this. So I'm sending this back.I do like the shape of the crystal and the little basket is really cool too, but it burns, burns, burns!

I searched for an antiperspirant/ underarm deodorants alternative for many years but kept putting it off for reasons that I tried so many that just didn't work. Theirs so many products in the stores that are chemically base and I didn't want to end up sickly later in life or ever hear my doctor say “ you have cancer”.something that I can avoid when deciding to select natural alternatives to use on my personal body.Many years ago I found a crystal that worked well but, I lost track of where I purchased it from. I even tried stainless steal soap bars advertised as a replacement for under arm antiperspirant and other crystals from a few different web sites that just did not provide the antiperspirant capabilities for at least a full day and actually that stone was a Thai crystal just as this one is. Apparently they are not the same. This one however, has a very light scent that would not overpower perfume if I decided to wear it. This crystal is a pretty large piece of crystal which means that it could last throughout the years. The shape of the top is rounded which is very appropriate for the usage as you slide it underneath your arm pit. The bottom of the crystal is squared giving it the ability to sit well into the miniature basked it comes with. The basket is also made of a woven wicked type of fabric that is coded for water proof abilities. After using it, rinsing it off with hot water and storing it back inside of the basket. So fare it’s brilliant. The price is reasonable and it serves it purpose well. Go ahead and make the purchase.

You might wonder how rubbing a salt crystal on your skin would help keep you from smelling like BO, and I wouldn't blame you. It feels like I'm skipping something when I just "apply" the wet bar to my underarms, rather than a thick paste or gel, but I gotta say, it works!If you're coming from an anti-perspirant, give it a week or so because your body has to get rid of the chemicals, but it'll pay off. It's a great value for your money.This crystal will last for a VERY long time. I had one that lasted over a year. Just make sure you're careful not to drop it - when it's wet, it shatters easily and even if you salvage some big chunks, they won't be as smooth as the were and you can scratch yourself up easily.

I like the idea of a natural crystal deodorant and the product arrived well packaged, but for me it was not strong enough. I did not notice long-lasting odor protection even when applying it correctly on damp skin.It might be good for people with very light perspiration, but it did not meet my personal needs.

Preface, of all the styles of this product I've tried, this is my top pick. There's a spray, roll on, travel size (good for petite pitts perhaps), the "stick" with a curved end, the cube with kinda curved edges in a plastic dish, and rectangular block in a bamboo box... then, there's this edition. Save yourself the efforts and go with this version here, a curved oval stone in a white basket. Wet the stone and apply to your underarms right out of the shower. Let air dry before dressing. That's it, and you safely won't smell bad.The large curved size works nicely. I'm an adult size person...The basket is great to store it. When traveling, the basket and stone go into a ziploc bag. Always be careful with the stone, don't drop it.Pro tip 😆 have a back up stone at home. If you drop it and can't find the back up, run the smoothest side of the stone under warm water for it to kinda smooth out.As long as you don't drop or lose it, this will seemingly last forever.

I love that it comes in the basket. I use that to hold it when applying so it doesn't slip out of my hands and break into a million pieces.

Let me start by saying that the 'headline' is completely true - these wonderful stones work really well, and can last and last.This product is of good size, and the holding basket is great/useful - I'll probably get 5-years of use, which is incredible, and so environmentally-friendly.Price, service, packaging and delivery were all good.But I did make a bit of an error, for I saw "2-pcs", and thought that I was ordering 2 packs - not item consists of 2-pieces. I did spot my mistake, but I retained the order for we all need to be kind and help each other out right now. Wishing you all the best.

The stone work like it should, it’s natural, and it’s better than deodorant. My only concern is the basket looks like it could be plastic, which undermines the natural-environmental concept - better to not have a basket than to have anything plastic. But love the stone.

I only received one of the two pieces and it’s impossible to return, get a replacement or anything at all. DO NOT BUY
