SAMURAI TACTICAL Wakizashi Tactical Backpack (Black), One Size, (ZPB001EC-008)

So, these are very decent light duty day packs for the money. I have two dedicated to "get home" bags for each of my daughters. They hold just enough for that purpose. Day hikes or general travel up to a couple of days these will do quite well. These are not intended for longer, multi-day, bring absolutely everything trips. They just are not big enough nor should they be. So the pack itself is well constructed. The zippers seem ok and have not failed yet but I suspect these will be the first thing that will fail as zippers and buckles are always the weak point of almost all backpacks. The molle on the outside is nice, I have used it to attach a FAK. The morale patch area is nice too, I have utilized that as well. The water compartment is designed very well and allows me to use a 2L bladder with the hose neatly tucked on one of the straps. The other compartments are well thought out and I appreciate the inner pockets and other areas to organize as well as the drain holes and strap anchors on the bottom. Thats nice attention to detail. The left and right shoulder straps themselves are good and reasonably adjustable and well padded. If you carry steel plates, or lead bars or gold bullion with this you might consider something more substantial but for less than 20lb of pack weight you should be ok. The one thing perhaps that I think is not well designed is the strap that connects both shoulder straps to prevent the pack from sliding off. Thats a dinky little piece of nothing and is an afterthought on a walk of shame. Seriously, it's awful but it works... barely. But aside from that, the backpack is quite good. I mean, I eventually bought two so that says something I suppose.

So, I'm a FedEx driver and I use this as my ED bag. I'm a particularly small-framed fella (5' 7", 115lbs) and very few backpacks are actually comfortable to me. My last backpack was an $80 Oakley bag and this blows it out of the water in comfort, durability, utility... Just about everything The main pocket comfortable fits more than it looks. I usually always keep a 1L water bottle, a 28oz bottle of Powerade, and another empty 28oz Powerade bottle, and when I'm not delivering, I can fit an IPad in there too! The front pocket is super organized and has enough organization and pouches in such a small space... It pleases my OCD so much it makes my eyes roll to the back of my head. Now there are two tiny pockets... One's super soft and perfect for glasses; and the other is small but can fit my wallet, keys, a small bottle of sanitizer, and my true wireless headphones in their case if I arrange it right. Durability: This thing can take a beating. I'm MEAN to my bags, and after a month, I'm impressed. Only a minor fray on the bottom of one strap but it's not getting any worse, and I had WAY more stuff in there than I should have that day. Comfort: It's definately nicer than a sandpaper backing, but definately it's not memory foam with silk cloth. I can wear it all day and be fine. No complaints. More comfortable than it looks though Tl;dr: If you're looking for an EDC concealed bag, this may dissapoint. If you want a good everyday backpack that has everything except a pouch for your polymer-framed mini boomstick (or a full-steel 8 rounder if you're over 50 [Jokes, jokes, I love me a nice 45]) then this is the backpack of your whet dreams Due to the price, you could get a couple to serve different purposes. Hell, I'd even use this for school if I knew about it then. Overall 4.5/5 -0.5 stars for lack of EDC/laptop compartment

I was looking for a small EDC molle backpack with an outer pocket to carry to & from work. This one is a bit larger than I wanted - 24 L but all the 10 L sizes are only sling bags rather than actual backpacks. This one seems to be sturdy and well made. Roomy pockets. I don't care for the fabric lip over the zippers as it makes it difficult to open them quickly but I guess it might keep them more secure if you were traveling on a bus or subway car. Lots of molle webbing to add clips and bags and whatnot. Back padding is nice and thick and the shoulder straps look like they will be comfortable. Bag material is thick and seems sturdy but it has a strange odor. I'm sure that will air out though. There is an inside pocket to hold a hydration bladder if you want that. The water bottle side pouch will probably hold a regular sized water bottle but I don't think a Nalgene sized bottle will fit. Might be tight for that type of bottle Wish it had another bottle pocket on the other side. The side compression straps and shoulder straps have an elastic strap to tuck in extra length of straps, which is a nice touch. I hate having long straps hanging down. All in all, I'm pretty impressed with the backpack even though it's larger than what I really need. I guess having some extra room won't hurt though. Might need it at some point.

This bag is fantastic value for money, but it always reminds you that it’s “only” a $27 bag. I’ll break it down based on the following: The bag is comfortable enough, when it’s not fully loaded. The shoulder straps are the letdown of the bag. They feel cheap and are about half as thick as they should be for long term wear (hiking, Disney trips, actual military wear). If you’re a business wearing, the bag suffices from car to train/bus and into office in this regard. The interior build and layout also speaks to the “good enough” theme. It is adequate for its size, but the mesh pockets and hydro pouch feel cheap. The zippers appear quality, and I’ve had no issues yet. All of that said, I don’t think you can find a better bag for the money spent. The size is perfect, and the layout of the size is equal in perfection. The addition of the soft pocket on top is a nice touch I haven’t seen in many other “tactical” bags. If you want a value office runner, a tactical dad diaper bag, or a limited use Vacation bag, this bag is the perfect mix of perfect layout, value for money and psychically appearance. The company says it has a lifetime warranty, and maybe I’ll run it long enough to see what that covers.

Rain resistant - The inside stays dry in at least 10 minutes of heavy rain. Tough exterior - The bag and zippers hold up well if caught on obstacles when walking. Comfortable - The shoulder straps are wide and distribute weight evenly on my shoulders. Large compartment - Fits a 14" laptop in a leather case, a 16oz monster in can cooler, 20oz gatorade in can cooler, two 16.9oz water bottles, rain jacket and several protein bars, with room to spare. If a bottle leaks there are two studded drain holes on the bottom. There are also large mesh zippered pockets inside that easily hold earbuds, chargers and cables. Small compartment - Fits two cell phones, 2AA flashlight, Leatherman, 3" pocket knife, wallet, keys, pens etc. Also with smaller pockets, also with room to spare. Top pocket (under handle strap) - Perftect size for sunglasses or prescription glasses. Made of soft microfiber keeps them unscratched and undamaged. Side pocket - Meant for 1 liter bottle but I use for quick access to my safety glasses. My only complaint is some of the pocket stitching in the small compartment unraveled very soon after purchase, so some smaller items can get shuffled around. Easy enough to fix myself though.

That bag feels made of durable material that is sturdy enough to hold its shape. The shoulder straps have enough cushion to remain comfortable even after trekking a few hours. This bag is small, it fits two medium sized Plano boxes. I used it as a tackle bag and it works well when you only have a little bit of gear to haul. The molle straps covering the outside are seen well and there are more than enough to attach just about any gear you might need to bring along (I have been able to attach a foldable fishing net, small solar panel, and ifak all at the same time. The bag worked well for my uses, a few concerns I have regarding the bag are the plastic clips that attach the shoulder straps to the base of the back pack. They have held up so far but they do feel flimsy. Currently I have this bag in my truck with first aid supplies and emergency supplies so the flimsy shoulder strap clips aren’t a concern because if the bag is being used it isn’t being slung on my back. An additional concern I have is the quality of the zippers; when the bag was new the zippers felt well manufactured but after a few uses they began to stick and not open and close as easily as they once did. The zippers do still open and close the bag but it does feel like some day so they will break. All and all the bag is alright but with heavy or rough use there are some potential breaking points: the plastic clips and the zippers.
