JadeYoga - Elite S Yoga Mat - Sustainable Yoga Mat Specially Created for Vigorous Practice (3/16" Thick, 24" Wide, 71" Long)

I teach 9 non heated yoga classes a week (heated yoga classes break down rubber mats sooner) I have been a devout faithful user of jade mats for a few years now. This was my fifth Jade mat. This time I chose to buy the elite mat assuming that it was more durable and give me longer useage. It’s been 14 months now and I’m starting to see little pits of wear already. Lasting no longer than the jade harmony mat. I would have expected my mat to last longer than 14 months especially at that price point. Over the years I have raved over this mat to my students who in turn went out and bought more mats than I could possibly count. Sadly, I need to find anther mat...will always be my fav mat over a slippery manduka

Really liking this mat. I wish it had a little more cushion, but it's working for me so far. I'm curious what the big difference between the standard Jade mat and the elite pro is. Hopefully it will last longer than the standard mat, which usually begins pilling after a year if you practice daily.

I practice daily, and have used this mat for 18 months. Including 8 months of teacher training. I do primarily Vinyasa/power but it has also been with me for enough Ashtanga and hot yoga to know it holds up well. It did take a while to break in and start gripping, during that time I used a towel with corners. Now it doesn't go anywhere and I trust it completely. It's not the mat with the most cushion but it feels solid and connected.I do a lot of inversions and it never shifts.I found the smell went away more quickly than other brands, I left it outside in the raina few times and washed it with white vinegar mixed with essential oils to help it in the beginning. I would buy Jade again, and the Elite S has held up longer than the harmony and fusion I've watched friends replace in about a year... I can't comment on the experiences of others, to each their own - but I've been happy with mine. Would buy again.

I can't say enough about this mat. I asked a yogi friend what to buy and she steered me to Jade. Damn was she right! Compared to my old mat (which someone stole at the gym, luckily) this thing is a dream. It is heavy, it doesn't move, it has great grip, and I never have to struggle to keep it rolled up. Absolutely perfect. I'm hoping it lasts a long time, but if it doesn't, I will be buying another. No question.

I wish I would have gotten the Harmony and not this. It’s not the same grip and I slip and slide all over it and I do not practice bikram.

This was not my first ever match purchase but it was my first Jade Yoga Mat. It is OK. Not thick enough but also takes a long time to get the smell out. Even after scrubbing it following the instructions. This mat is better suited for home or a studio that has some padding on the floors. This mat is so thin that it is painful to do some poses on your knees.

Love this mat! It’s got some weight to it so it doesn’t keep the rolled appearance when you lay it out. It’s easy to grip to. And the only time I feel a hint of slip is when I’m getting a pretty good sweat going. The color is great and it’s something I would buy again.

At 3/16th thickness still too thin for spinal comfort in supine position. Good for stickiness though. Not sure its really worth $119!!
