Worked great
I cut my cv boot when trying to get my transmission out of my car. My mistake. I ordered these to replace it. They are thick metal and pulled the cv boot tight with the proper tool. I might end up having to replace my axle if the boot comes loose but there is nothing that clamped down as strong as these clamps did. I am very satisfied with these, they are the real deal.

Good product
First review in the world on Amazon! Here goes: Compared to oem type pinch type clamps, this is slightly "weaker/thinner" and perhaps narrower (similar to what can be found in many aftermarket boot kits that contain this type of band). However, they are strong enough to tightly seal boots, AT LEAST for light duty cars, using the ease of simply pinching the nipple thing. I give it 4 stars because the pinch nipple ( i don't know what it is technically called ), is propense to end up at an angle if you are not careful; even with the right tool. These can also be cut with a good wire cutter to better suit your target; more than just cv boots (e.g. tie rod boots)

Excellent proudct when you need it.
This really helps if you fix CV boots. Sometimes, the clamp that comes with the boots is too small. This may be thinner than the original, but the metal is not weak at all. You can cut to any size, but not necessary. This will save your time and reduce your frustration.

Dumb design. There is a gap in coverage between the large and small clamps that my Corvette steering rack boot happened to fall into. How asinine is it to not stamp one more set of teeth into the large clamp?? It's free, and that's all it would take to have full coverage of any diameter boot. The clamps are very thin both in width, thickness and strength compared to the CV or even steering rack clamps on my Vette. I ended up using one of these on the large end of my inner cv boot in a pinch. Hope it doesn't explode when I get over 150mph on a track... If you don't hear from me again, though, it's probably adequate. But I won't be buying more of these.

Poor quality
These are very low quality clamps made of thin metal. The crimps do not hold, they come loose with just a small amount of strain on the CV Boot.

work great, just as strong or stronger than the factory clamps (which were leaking) that I replaced; I would not hesitate to put these on any of my cars

Decent
Put in a reman cv axle shaft, and it had air in the inner boot causing the boot to be distended. rather than pull the shaft out, i removed the boot band on the shaft, squeezed out excess air and replaced it with one of these. price and material are excellent, but the tail on the band does not spline to keep it centered on the band. hence i had to cut off the excess tail and file to smooth.
