Ballistic nylon sheath. Black traction coated 1095 high carbon steel blade. Full tang. Black linen Micarta handles. Lanyard hole. Review: Formidable - This is an incredibly powerful weapon for its size. Almost the entire blade top bears deep crevases pointing rearward. Tne blade is sharp and the entire knife is solidly and soundly constructed. Should an adversary get close enough for the knife to be used (blade slightly less than 7 inches), the insertion and withdrawal of the blade would probably be cataclysmic. This is particularly so since this knife is one quarter inch full tang, and the spaces between the crevases on top are sharp edged and alternate in slant, thus increasinf the tearing on withdrawall. This is not a toy, should be used only in life and death or military situations, and should be locked away from children. I was so impressed by this knife that I bought its much longer but very similarly designed brother, the TOPS Steel Eagle 111AHP Tactical Fighting Knife, which is 16 inches in overall length, with a blade length of 11 inches. I can think of no combination of knives which poses such a lethal combination, but they are only to be used within the provisions of the law, which may well restrict them from being worn in public, and may well restrict their use to self defense or defense of other family members. These are serious weapons which should only be used in complete compliance with applicabe law. Review: The best nice I have ever owned - I bought this as a survival and field knife for my trips in the Bondary Waters of Minnesota. I tested it right out of the gate the day I bought it. I shortly fell in love with this knife; its a beast. It's perfect for chopping and batoning wood. I've used it 3 times now to process wood for fire. It's impressed me all 3 times. It's a work horse of a knife. It also would make a good operator knife in my opinion; but it really shines as a field/survival/outdoor knife. The price tag is a lot, but it will likely last me my life time. Buy once, cry once. Though, I didn't cry to much when I say what 180 got me for a knife. Definitely recommend it to any serious outdoor enthusiasts or survivalist. ## Features - RUGGED 1095 FIXED BLADE KNIFE: The TOPS Steel Eagle TP107C-BRK features a 7.63-inch blade made from 1095 high carbon steel rated at RC 56-58. A tops whistle is packed in one of the sheath pockets. **Q: How well does the saw back work?** A: My 107 doesn't have the saw back and according to my research it would be difficult to use as an effective saw and would weaken the structural integrity of the blade, as would the serrations on the blade whch tend to get peened over when chopping. Mine is a plain blade which makes the knife almost indestructible. Otherwise, if you are just looking for aesthetics, the saw back and blade serrations really look cool. One caveat would be that the serrations would be beneficial for cutting cord, rope, or webbing, seat belts, etc., all is up to the buyer. I don't abuse my knives but I don't just buy for show either. The 107 is my ever present truck knife for emergency use. **Q: How large is the knife** A: Short answer: BIG & STRONG! Overall it's about 13" with a blade that about 8". The blade is 1/4" thick at the tang. The knife is made by Tops & they're know as one of the best! This knife isn't cheap, but it's top quality & will do anything you need for it to do except whittle fine stick figures. I use it primarily for camping, but if need a survival knife this is the one I would pack in. I keep a fire starter kit in the front pocket of the sheath along with a knife sharpener. Done! A total package! I strongly recommend this knife. You take care of it & it'll do the job for you! **Q: is the blade thickness 1/4"?** A: Yes it is 1/4" thick ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Formidable *by B***R on February 27, 2014* This is an incredibly powerful weapon for its size. I tested it right out of the gate the day I bought it. I shortly fell in love with this knife; its a beast. It's perfect for chopping and batoning wood. This one is well positioned between the two. It is the same amazing quality and durability and attention to detail you get from the other two Steel Eagles or any Tops knife I've owned for that matter. The saw back is intended for notching which it does well. The steel is literally strong enough to be a crowbar, takes an edge easily and holds it well. No sharpening necessary, I only need to strop mine every now and then to keep it razor sharp. I love the hand-hold options and the finger choil. This one is a winner, though maybe a little intimidating at the camp site, for that I usually use the Tops 105, but this one is definitely more versatile. ## Frequently Bought Together - TOPS TP107C-BRK Steel Eagle - Tops Knives TPHER0401: Silent Hero 4 - Work Sharp Guided Field Sharpener, Compact Travel Hunting Knife Sharpener Tool --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/7094708-tops-knives-steel-eagle-tp107c-brk-fixed-blade-knife-1095](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/7094708-tops-knives-steel-eagle-tp107c-brk-fixed-blade-knife-1095) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
