Designed for all life stages, it features crickets, black soldier fly larvae, and organic mealworms to boost Omega fatty acids. The thinner mix consistency appeals to picky geckos, while the long shelf life and easy prep make it a convenient, nutrient-rich choice for reptile enthusiasts. ## Description Pangeas gecko diet formula has the delicious taste of Organic Fig and insects. This Banana free formula has a strong Fig smell and flavor to entice your picky geckos to really chow down. The absence of bananas is perfect for geckos that don't seem to really like banana flavor foods. By using other base fruits we were able to incorporate fig into the diet while still maintaining very low levels of Oxalic acid. We have incorporated crickets and black soldier fly larvae as the main source of protein as well as organically grown mealworms to increase the Omega fatty acid content. This formula has twice the amount of insects as our original "With Insects" formula. Pangea Fig & Insects mixes up a bit thinner than other formulas due to not having the banana as an ingredient, but the geckos seem to like this thinner mix. It can be more difficult to see lick marks so we recommend offering smaller amounts to begin with so you can see it disappear. Directions: Mix 1 part powder to 2 parts water, adjust to achieve desired consistency. This mix is not as thick as our other formulas because there is no banana. Offer food daily and remove uneaten food after 24 hours. Prepared mix is good for up to 7 days if refrigerated. Open dry mix is good for 6 months at room temperature or 1 year if refrigerated. Unopened shelf life is 2 years. Occasional insect feedings are recommended but optional. ## Features - Gecko Diet Ltd is the authorised distributor for Pangea Gecko Food ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07M85TS4W | | Additional Features | Banana-free formula | | Age Range Description | All Life Stages | | Animal Food Diet Type | Limited Ingredient | | Brand Name | Pangea | | Breed Recommendation | Gecko | | Container Type | Pouch | | Customer Reviews | 4.9 4.9 out of 5 stars (205) | | Dog Breed Size | Small | | Flavor | Fig & Insects | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00854732004962 | | Item Form | Powder | | Item Weight | 8 Ounces | | Manufacturer | Pangea | | Manufacturer Part Number | 854732004962 | | Model Number | Ad-bm4-803 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Birthday | | Pet Type | Reptile | | Product Benefits | Entices picky geckos with delicious organic fig and insect flavor | | Special Ingredients | Organic Fig, Insects | | Specific Uses For Product | Gecko Nutrition and Health Maintenance | | Target Species | Reptile | | UPC | 854732004962 | | Unit Count | 228.0 Grams | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** All Life Stages - **Brand:** Pangea - **Flavour:** Fig & Insects - **Item form:** Powder - **Specific uses for product:** Gecko Nutrition and Health Maintenance ## Images ![FIG & Insects Complete Gecko Diet Crested Gecko Food - 8oz - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81G2rqJZYoL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What are the Black/White Parts in the diet?** A: The white chunks are typically potassium sorbate and small pieces of coconut flakes that can't be sifted out during the production process. These are a natural part of the diet. The black parts are insect parts that are an important part of the diet. **Q: What is the right feeding schedule?** A: Under normal circumstances your gecko will only need 3 to 5 feedings per week. Occasional feeding with live insects is recommended by not required with this diet. **Q: How much should I offer my gecko per feeding?** A: It depends on the age of your gecko. Most Juveniles should receive about 1/16th of an ounce or a dime size portion. Subadults should receive 1/8th of an ounce or a nickel sized portion. An adult should receive a quarter to about a half ounce portion. **Q: Why shouldn't I freeze the diet to help it last longer?** A: The ice crystals that form during the freezing process can potentially damage the cell walls of the plant ingredient contents and reduce the overall nutritional value of the diet. **Q: Why does the unrefrigerated prepared feed expire after a day?** A: The prepared feed can be compared to a fruit smoothie. A fruit smoothie sitting in a humid tropical environment like a gecko terrarium will not last as long as it would while refrigerated. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pangea Fruit Mix Fig & Insects Crested Gecko Complete Diet (1 lb) - Pangea Gecko Diet: Growth & Breeding Formula™ (16 oz) - Pangea Fruit Mix with Insects Crested Gecko Complete Diet 1 lb --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/710181775-fig-and-insects-complete-gecko-diet-crested-gecko-food-8oz](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/710181775-fig-and-insects-complete-gecko-diet-crested-gecko-food-8oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
