Hd 1080P 360 Degree Bird View Car DVR Recording Panoramic View All Round Rear View Camera for Bus Truck School Bus Fire Engine Touring Van Motorhome Caravan

Very basic previous-generation system, but it DOES handle vehicles up to 20 meters in length (systems for cars are generally limited to 6.5 meters and smaller). It offers 2D images only with none of the 3D-generated views common to modern birds-eye systems. As indicated, the version without a monitor is CVBS only (I had hoped for AHD, but no). While there are two additional ports on the host unit, there is no provision for serial communication for touchscreen. An AI inquiry into this model indicates both AHD and touchscreen should be possible; ignore that misinformation (AI does get it wrong fairly often). If you need a very basic birds-eye system for an RV or large vehicle (up to 20 meters in length) on a budget, this will work. If you can pay twice as much, you can get so much more (BVD16, DV700AI).

I spent significant time bench-testing this unit. The unit itself does work: the cameras record to the USB stick, and the recorded video shows all four camera views. The remote and menu also work once the RCA/CVBS output is connected. The listing does say this version uses RCA/CVBS output, and I did not find HDMI mentioned in the product text. The confusing part is that the brain has an HDMI-style connector, which I naturally assumed was a standard HDMI monitor output. It is not. I tested it with a known-good mini-HDMI cable and multiple displays, and got no HDMI output. The live view only worked through the yellow RCA/CVBS output. On my harness, that RCA/AV cable was not clearly labeled, which made troubleshooting harder. Once I found it and connected it to an RCA input, the live menu and camera view appeared. The RCA image quality is poor, even though the USB recordings are much better. Buyers need to understand that the live display quality and the recorded video quality are not the same thing. The system is not completely nonfunctional, but the connector labeling and documentation are confusing. I would not recommend the RCA/CVBS version if you expect a clear live monitor image.

I really wanted this to work. The one I purchased was the Rca output. The HDMI Version may be better.. However, after many many hours of testing this on 8 different monitors using the RCA cable, the image quality on this is almost unusable. Maybe the Image quality is Better with the HDMI version, but I can not recommend this RCA output type. Judging by the reviews the bad ones purchased the Rca output version and the good reviews purchased the HDMI. Wish it would of been better. Will be returning this.

Great product and excellent customer service!

For the video quality, the camera pods are too large and unsightly. For future renditions, please allow for direct mounting in customer owned waterproof housing.

Not working countless hours spent with Lucy at tech support never resolved I spent to much don't do what I did. buy something else like GreenYi Technology equipment.
