Solid Performer
Acer Golf Rangefinder (SW-RF700) - A Solid Performer for the Price-Conscious Golfer As an avid golfer always looking for ways to shave strokes off my game, a reliable rangefinder is a must-have. I recently picked up the Acer Golf Rangefinder (SW-RF700) and have been genuinely impressed with its performance, especially considering its competitive price point. First Impressions & Build Quality (4/5 stars) Out of the box, the Acer SW-RF700 feels surprisingly sturdy. It has a comfortable, ergonomic grip that fits well in the hand, and the rubberized casing provides a good sense of durability. It's not as premium-feeling as some of the high-end models, but it certainly doesn't feel cheap. It's lightweight enough to carry comfortably for 18 holes without adding bulk to my bag. The magnetic strip on the side is a brilliant touch for attaching it to a golf cart โ a simple feature that makes a big difference in convenience. Accuracy & Speed (4.5/5 stars) This is where the Acer SW-RF700 truly shines for its price. I tested it against a few higher-priced rangefinders from playing partners, and the Acer consistently delivered accurate distances within +/- 0.5 yards. Whether I was shooting to the flag, a bunker, or a tree line, the readings were spot on. The speed at which it acquires the target is also impressive. It locks onto the flagstick almost instantly, even from over 200 yards, and the flagpole locking with vibration alert provides a satisfying confirmation that you've got the right target. I rarely had to re-shoot a target. Key Features (4/5 stars) The Acer SW-RF700 comes packed with the essential features you need on the course: * Slope Compensation: This is a game-changer for hilly courses. The slope adjusted distance gives you a true "plays like" yardage, helping with club selection. Crucially, it has a simple on/off switch for the slope function, making it legal for tournament play when needed. * 6x Magnification: The optics are clear and bright, even in slightly dimmer conditions. The 6x magnification is more than sufficient for identifying targets and getting precise readings. * Multiple Modes: Beyond basic distance, it offers horizontal/vertical distance, angle, and even speed measurement (though I haven't used that last one on the course). The "M" button makes switching between modes straightforward. * Rechargeable Battery: The USB-C rechargeable battery is a huge plus. No more fumbling with CR2 batteries. It holds a charge for multiple rounds, which is excellent. The charging indicator is also a nice touch. Display & Usability (4/5 stars) The LCD display is clear and easy to read. While it's not a dual-color display, the black reticle is sharp against most backgrounds. Operating the device is intuitive โ a single button for ranging, and another for mode selection. It's definitely designed for ease of use right out of the box. Minor Drawbacks (Considerations) While overwhelmingly positive, there are a couple of minor points to consider: * Low Light Performance: In very low light conditions (early morning or dusk), the black reticle can be a little harder to see compared to some models with red/black dual displays. This is a common trade-off at this price point, though. * No Advanced GPS Integration: Unlike some hybrid rangefinders, this is purely a laser rangefinder. If you're looking for integrated GPS course maps, this isn't the one for you. However, for a dedicated laser, it performs exceptionally well. Overall Value (5/5 stars) For the features, accuracy, and build quality you get, the Acer Golf Rangefinder (SW-RF700) offers incredible value for money. It easily competes with models twice its price and delivers consistent, reliable performance on the course. If you're looking for a dependable rangefinder that won't break the bank and provides all the essential features to improve your game, I highly recommend giving this Acer a serious look. It has definitely become a staple in my golf bag.

Fantastic features, excellent value!
I am incredibly impressed with this rangefinder. It hits every mark perfectly: Selectable Slope Function: The ability to easily toggle the slope functionality on and off is fantastic. It gives you accurate, adjusted yardages when you want them, but lets you quickly turn it off to keep things completely tournament-legal. Steady & Clear: The anti-shake image stabilization is a massive plus for those of us with shaky hands. The display itself is bright and crystal clear. Spot-On Flag Lock: Flagpole locking is a key element in a quality rangefinder, and Acer absolutely does not miss on this feature. It locks on quickly and confidently. Strong Magnet: The built-in magnet is remarkably strong and stable. It holds tight to the cart frame, even when you get a little overzealous driving through rougher terrain. Great Extras: The included carrying case is a very nice touch for storage. Plus, having a rechargeable battery saves me from the headache of constantly trying to find specific replacement batteries when I'm ready to play. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, feature-packed rangefinder without the premium price tag!

A ton of bang for the buck
This thing is so easy to use, is very well built, and has a ton of features. If youโre a golfer, the trajectory compensation is great. It gives you yardage adjusted for uphill and downhill shots. Also has features for measuring speed and simple straight line distance. The magnetic strip is also really nice and easy to store on the cart. You can spend $300+ if you want, but this thing has all the features I need for a quarter of the price.

Accurate, great value. Nice range finder
Perfect range finder on a budget. Does all the things the more expensive range finders do. Accurate as well, tested against my husbandโs Cobalt range finder and was Acer was giving me the exact same reading. Love the strong magnet, stayed in place while moving about the course. The unit is lightweight, and durable. The optics are recessed to protect from things that may rub causing scratches. The range finder comes with a zippered, hard carry case and a useful instruction booklet. Very happy with my purchase and I didnโt need to spend a lot of money to get a great range finder.

Love it!
โI recently purchased this rangefinder shown in image.png, and I am extremely impressed with its performance. It is compact, feels great in the hand, and is very easy to use on the course. The magnetic mount is a fantastic feature that makes it so convenient to attach to my cart, and having a rechargeable Li-on battery is a huge plus since I donโt have to worry about constantly replacing batteries. It provides accurate distances consistently, which has really helped my game. If you are looking for a reliable and high-quality rangefinder, I highly recommend this one!

Small package, big perks
So far Iโm loving this rangefinder. Size is great, accuracy is good for me even with a bit of mist this morning. There are a ton of features like flag lock and slope, plus itโs got horizontal and vertical distancing so helps a lot for newer golfers. Itโs almost half the size of my teammates and it has a magnet to stick on the cart. We ended up using mine for all 18.

Great Range Finder
I lost my range finder a few weeks ago and had been borrowing this one from my buddy every time we played. It always worked great, excellent pin lock, vibration when it reads the yardage, accurate yardage reading, and slope availability. Purchased one for myself recently and itโs been working great. Highly recommend!

Accurate - great value - dead simple controls & super clear viewfinder.
Brilliant - normally use a Garmin GPS, but this will 100% be my goto. Locks on insanely fast - deadly accurate, and super simple controls. At this price - going to buy another as spare, in case I accidentally leave this one behind.

Fair review from a golfer
Looks good, lightweight, and picks up big objects like trees, people, hills and bunkers - however it DOES NOT pick up the flag, so basically useless for golf.

Impressive, inexpensive rangefinder with a lot of features
This rangefinder is excellent and even better at this price point. It has all the bells and whistles as much more expensive rangefinders. Very easy to use and locks on to pins easily, even in windy conditions. Definitely would recommend this and would buy again.
