Great computer
This has been a great computer for us so far. The only thing reviewers didn't like was the slow/older hard drive. As soon as we got it I replaced the hard drive with a Samsung ssd 850 pro that we already had. The solid state drives are an easy upgrade and make a big difference in boot up time and how fast the computer runs. The hard drive was very easy to swap out. I found a you tube video with this same model computer that walks you through it. In our last all-in-one computer I had to pull the whole computer apart to get to the hard drive. With this one, everything is contained in the bottom part on the back where the stand screws in. It was much easier to pull apart. Our last computer also needed a conversion box to go from a standard hard drive to the smaller SSD one. On this computer I didn't need that. The standard hard drive is the same size as the SSD, so I could use all of the same hardware to hold it in. I was happy about that. I also really like that this has the 8th gen intel in it. I am sure there is already a 9th gen out there somewhere, but not in any computer even close to this price. Most of the computers in this price range have much older versions of the intel i5 chip. The 8th gen was actually a pretty good leap in performance from what I could find online. We also wanted this computer to last 7 or 8 years or more, so we wanted to have the latest right now so it doesn't get outdated too soon. The 12GB of RAM was also a great deal at this price and will help it last for a while. I am sure someday soon 12GB will be the bare minimum just to get a computer to start up. So right now, with an SSD (which really was easy to swap out), the latest intel i5, and 12GB of RAM, this thing is a fast little computer. Probably not ready for gaming because it doesn't have a dedicated graphics card, but that's not what we wanted it for. It has been great so far and we expect it to last a good while before it gets outdated.

Great all-in-one for the price
First of all, the dongle for the mouse and keyboard is located inside the mouse. This is illustrated in the pamphlets that come with the computer. I feel like all the negative reviews said they had no dongle. This computer is great for the price. The chip is a newer quad-core chip that is great for everything as long as you're not trying to play modern graphics intense games. The computer is really just a monitor with very small bezels - it is light and compact. Startup seems to be a little slow, but after that the computer is really speedy even with the 5400rpm hard drive. And this thing is quiet! You would be very hard-pressed to even hear the fan or hard drive, even in a very quiet room. As someone else has stated, the keyboard and mouse are cheap but fine. The computer itself is so small that there's very little room for speakers, and as such, they sound terrible. They work but they do not get loud and there is no bass. I would describe them as worse than most laptop speakers. I love the size, the screen, and the performance of this computer. It's a great bargain all-in-one.

Display is great, keyboard and mouse less SO
I ordered this as it was a best buy on Amazon after the screen on my previous all-in-one (a Lenovo) died suddenly. That's always a potential drawback of the all-in-ones. Set-up was easy and the camera is a USB attachment, nice for security since I never use the camera (meaning that it is still in the package, so no one can spy on me). Pros: Reasonably fast processor and display is great. The screen is matte finish so very little glare from the window by my desk, a nice change from the glossy screen on the old display. The bezel around the screen is small, so it makes the desktop seem bigger. Cons: The included keyboard and mouse aren't that great. I used it for a day or two but switched it out for my old wireless keyboard and mouse (both Microsoft models). The keyboard was laptop style without separate page-up and down keys or a number pad. If it was a portable device I could understand, but this is a desktop model and should have a full keyboard. The mouse was also very basic and I missed having a separate back button. There are two USB 2 and two USB 3 slots, but all are on the back of the screen, which requires moving the computer to access. I finally ordered a USB 3.0 hub to put in front of the stand so I could have easier access to them.

Less than 6 months old and it's DEAD!! And Acer found a way to void the 1 year Warranty.
Moves at a frustratingly slow snail's pace. Age 4 months: Little blue plastic inner part of the USB port came out upon unplugging my headset. Since then, clients complain they cannot hear me. I must unplug and talk through the computer, then they can hear me. Called Support to inquire about this blue thingy issue. Support's response: Use a different headset. Advised the headset works well with other products, just not on this one with the USB missing blue inner-thing. Answer again: Use a different headset. (smh). Well, before I sent it back for the non-working usb port issue, on it's 6 month birthday, it totally crashed with no hope for recovery; everything gone and I cannot even get it to turn on. Support was useless. I then called their location in TX, not a foreign speaking country (254-298-4000) and Marco was very helpful and sympathetic with my situation. But must send it to them in TX. They provided a FedEx sticker even though shipping is not included in the 1 year warranty. But now I have nothing. It's kind of like I was forced out of business. so frustrated right now. Okay, things going from bad to worse. They sent an email advising they received my computer and to click the link for status updates and for tracking when shipped. A full week later they claim my computer was received damaged. They sent a picture of the monitor with a gash in the corner; they cannot fix it now -- it arrived damaged and that voids my one-year warranty. They also sent a picture of my original box with the computer placed back inside. The box had obviously been opened as only one flimsy piece of tape was displayed and we taped it many many many many times on all three seams. No tape on either of the side slits, only one piece of tape in the middle, barely hanging on. They suggested I return to where I shipped it via FedEx and file a claim with them. Turns out the FedEx kiosk I used does not process claims, must do it online. Advised Acer. They gave me THREE days to submit a claim with FedEx. I do not trust them and firmly do not believe it arrived damaged. If it did, why didn't they tell me sooner? Like tell me when it arrived and they unpacked it and sent an email to say they have it or when they sent an email sending a link to follow the progress and to link to tracking info. Why wait 8 full days before sending an email to say the corner is damaged and, because it was damaged en route (or so they claim), my warranty is null and void. SIX MONTHS -- That's all I got for my money. I kind of blame myself because I had previously sworn off Acer. Ordered several of those little skinny laptops and they worked okay but the regular size / big laptop had a malfunctioning battery; would not work unless it was plugged in. That was the day I swore I would never go Acer again. Then when just about to buy another Lenovo AIO, they put it next to the Acer AIO; Lenovo had 8GB RAM and Acer had 12GB RAM, yet it cost a hundred less. Naturally I went for the one that cost less and gave more -- biggest mistake yet. ACER HAS CAUSED ME MAJOR GRIEF. In addition to losing everything I had on the computer (my own fault for not having a current back-up), they ADD INSULT TO INJURY BY CLAIMING DAYS LATER AFTER RECEIPT, THAT IT ARRIVED DAMAGED AND NOW MY WARRANTY IS VOIDED. A BUNCH OF BULL! If you wish to keep your sanity, HEED MY WARNING / BUYER BEWARE::::: *DO NOT BUY ACER!!* Oh, just noticed other comments they put on this Repair Report which are tee-totally false. They claim cracked LCD and surface scratches. The computer was in pristine condition, not a scratch anywhere!! In fact, it was still protected with plastic wrapping until I had to ship it for repair and I removed the plastic at that time. There were NO scratches anywhere and there was NO cracked screen. Acer America should be fully ashamed of themselves ... SHAME ON YOU ACER!!

Great All in One - Very Snappy Performance!
This is a great All in One PC! I've only had it up and running a few days, but so far so good! It is very fast and has seriously cleaned up my desktop-no more cables and stuff above and under desk. It runs very quiet despite the fact that it doesn't have an SSD, and is an excellent option for word processing, spread sheets, email, web browsing, etc...obv if you're a serious gamer or video editor look elsewhere, but all in all a great machine! Would Recommend! Pros -Fast performance -Quiet -Visually appealing -Good Value Cons -built in speakers aren't great (were you expecting them to be?) -Included Wireless keyboard and mouse aren't great -not terrible though

AMAZING ALL-IN-ONE
I purchased this 3 weeks ago and I wanted to use it before I reviewed it. I use it for my home business and I'm amazed at the speed, and picture quality it has for the friendly price. I wasn't expecting it to be so awesome for $600. I use photo software and the picture quality just amazes me everyday when I'm working on a project. The speed of the PC on and off the internet is lightning, and even with programs running in background and with 8, 10, 12 tabs open at once on the internet don't seem to slow it at all. If you're looking for a nice quality desktop(All-in-one) that's fast, and with an amazing display that's huge at an affordable price, then this is the one. I wasn't compusated in any way for this review, and seldom do I ever give this type of review, but when I feel like I got an awesome deal and a product above what I was expecting, that performs above my expectations, then I want to share my results with others who may benefit from my review.

Nice looking but slow hard drive that impacts whole system
UPDATE: Installed a 500GB SSD and now this computer is very fast. Too bad Acer went with a cheap, slow HD as stock for this. If you plan on having a descent anti-virus or do much beyond basic computing, highly recommend upgrading to SSD hard drive. ORIGINAL: Had high hopes but the hard drive on this is really disappointing. Basic antivirus slows it way down and makes it act like a 5 year old computer. I had to order an ssd hard drive to make this act like it should brand new. I have built PCs for years and owned several brand name PCs too. This has been pretty disappointing after one week

All in one PC for Home
My husband and I love the large screen, the brightness and the ease in which we can bring up what we need, the only bad thing is it is slow to start if you totally turn it off, we however keep it on the sleep mode, and it is quick to turn on this way. Very good computer, for what we need, only solitaire for games and e-mail and internet is all we use it for.
