This product SO improved my day-to-day life! I have a medical condition which has severely impacted my balance & equilibrium; showers had become virtually impossible. These bars have allowed me to shower! After reading myriad reviews about these falling off I was unsure they would stay put. They worked perfectly! A super strong grip on the shower wall, very sturdy.**I use these for ONE shower, then take them off. They are NOT meant to stay attached; the suction only holds for a day or so. **They attach in seconds and the green/red color is such a great feature!I recommend this product with great confidence it will help others.

These grab bars are easy to use and provide enough suction to stay affixed to the shower wall for several hours. You need to check the grab bars before each use to ensure they remain stuck firmly to the surface. After a few hours, the grab bar(s) will loosen and fall off the wall so it's best to remove them within an hour or two after each use to make sure they don't fall to the shower floor and become damaged. Not sure how they will function over time, but so far so good!

I bought two sets of two. In each set one of the bars would hold like a miser to money...and the other would fall off in a few minutes. I assume there is a quality control issues at the factory. I looked them over closely and could discern no differences between the hold-fast ones and the let-go ones.Then I decided to try an experiment. I put boiling hot water in two bowls and set the let-go one's suction cups into the bowls, let them set for about 30 seconds to get hot, then immediately applied them to the shower wall again. Both of let-go ones are now stuck fast and have been for a couple of days, as are the two original hold-tight ones. And I do mean they are very tight on the wall.So they have gone from a few hours to a couple of days (and still counting) because of that one little hack. I think this works for two reasons.Reason one is that the heat softens the plastic suction cups which allows them to adhere/align to the shower's surface far better.Reason two is caused by the heated space in the center of the cup cooling off and creating a strong vacuum.I used two bowls of boiling water to get both ends hot simultaneously, so that one cup wouldn't cool off as the other heated.It worked a treat on my non-textured fiberglass surfaces. I hope this may help some of you.It's been almost a month now, and the hot water treated ones are still sticking - like a tax collector on a lottery winner.

I bought these for my father, who has a hard time getting around sometimes. He wanted something sturdy for getting in and out of the shower, but he is renting so he can't exactly install something major. He's a bigger guy and in 2 years, they haven't budged once. The instructions are very clear for how to install them and if you do it right, they are really stuck on there and very sturdy! I've recommended them to several relatives who had knee replacements or other things that make getting in and out of the shower difficult.

For those looking to install suction cup handles on 4x4 inch tiles, this 16.5-inch option is the ideal choice. Initially, I bought the 12-inch models but found they did not fit my tiles, leading me to return them. Again, these suction cup handles fit perfectly on tiles that measure 4.25"x4.25”. I installed these handles two months ago, and they have remained securely in place without any need for reattachment. Contrary to some reviews that point out issues with the red/green safety indicators, mine have worked flawlessly, providing constant reassurance of their secure attachment. For their reliability, I highly recommend these handles.

I had to purchase something to put in my tube/shower while I am recovering from fracturing an ankle & a hip. I am 450#’s and 6’ tall. I did not want to have to sit down to take a shower. I was looking for something that I could move & position where I needed it while I am in recovery. I wanted my independence back but need something I could rely upon for stability. These have fit the requirements I have & have done a great job doing it. They are not meant to be permanent nor be used to pull one’s self up. I only use them to provide stability as I move around in the shower & getting in & out. They will have a tendency to come undone from time to time as they are not permanently attached. You must check them every time before use. But I have had great luck keeping them attached when properly do so. Clean the surface well before applying and make sure the surface is smooth where the cups will adhere. Very pleased with this purchase.

See update at end: Just received so no actual use. I noticed a few reviews about a little red showing on some installations. I think this problem relates to the installers ability and not a problem with the product. You have to push the suction cup very, very, very hard onto the wall and as you do this the indicator will change from red to green. After you do this you close the suction switch. Thus when installing you may need to get all of your body weight pushing down on the suction cup. I did this on two different bathroom tile walls and got a very good seal. As noted I just received so I will have to see how it holds up in use. By the way used a little soap and water to clean surfaces and this worked fine.Purchased a second one. Will only hold on the same tiles as the first one for a few hours and then falls. After a few falls I can not get the red to clear. The first one is still working fine and I will try a few more days to see if I can get the second to work. I had rated this 5 stars but it looks like you might need a lot of luck to get one that works. I am only about a week into the first one. It does not seem to have lost any of its holding ability.Have moved to a different bathroom as it turns out the tile in the one I wanted the bars for is not suitable. The bars have held for several months. The key is the mounting service as opposed to the quality of the product
