Really quite superb
These have become my lens of choice for my fleet of 12 CO2 laser engravers. I don't think you can do any better for the money! Remember to put them in the correct orientation! :) Highly recommended!

Awesome
Transformed my k40, stock lens was cloudy and brittle (few places chipped) creating a half moon when fired. This little gem sorted that and have me the power the machine should produce. Thank you

Quality product
Quality product. Far superior to lens supplied with K40. Certainly made a vast improvement on cutting and reducing burn.

Good for thick material
I was having trouble with my old Full Spectrum MLE30 (K40 predecessor type). I was using ot for a couple types of plastic (Acrylic mostly, but some Kydex) as well as cutting heavy 10oz dual-tanned latigo leather. My problem was that in order to cut through the material, I was ending up with severe charring at the edges of the cut and often insufficient penetration. It had sat without use for a good 12 years and my assumption at first was that the tube was just bad. I was told this happened over time. Surprisingly, the tube was just about perfect. I definitely gained a little bit of performance switching to a name brand 35w tube, but not nearly what I thought I would. When that didn't really solve the problem, I re-leveled the table again, re-aligned the mirrors for about the fourth time, cleaned everything, and was at a loss. I thought about it for a while and did a little geometry in my head, and theorized that I could improve cut depth by going to a longer focal length. Reddit seemed to confirm that this was usually what people did for this sort of thing. The solution ended up being to switch from a 2" focal length to a 3" focal length for the thicker material, where the critical focus depth ended up going from 1-2mm to about 3-4mm and really reducing the charring and improving the consistency of cutting through. It's still not perfect, but going from rough cut to finished part takes about 1/4 of the time now and results in far less cleanup and failed parts. I do have to remove the honeycomb bed to use the 3" lens, but cutting leather usually doesn't resul;t in any issues.
