Review: Best thing since sliced bread - I first saw this being used by a lady in Germany, Bavaria to be exact. I took a photo and immediately went to order it upon returning home, but they no longer manufacture these by Krups, so I bought this used one. Seriously, I couldn't be happier. It came with the original box (now I know why I keep all my boxes) as well as the instructions and warranty (me too, I keep all my paperwork). I'm really happy with it.
Review: Easy to use and quiet - It is nicely quiet, which I appreciated. It requires a little assembly the first time. When machine folded it takes very little space, but there are additional pieces to store( platform you put your meat to cut and another to hold meat and push it against knife.

**Q: I don't get the $297 asking price, am I missing something? I seem to remember paying $40 for mine. It's mostly plastic.**
A: They sell them on eBay for $20 to $40.

**Q: We used to have one of these and loved it......does the tray come off for easy cleaning?**
A: Yes, the tray easily slides off for cleaning.

**Q: Can the Krups "Slice It" slice breads or just meat and cheeses?**
A: Never used it to slice bread.    Great on meat.

**Q: Can the Krups "Slice Ir" slice bread too or just meats and cheeses?**
A: I would keep it to meats and cheeses. I think it might squish the bread too much. But, you can always try it with a easy hand. Good luck!
