Due to a rather unfortunate series of events, I essentially "reset" my hair by shaving my head on April 1st with plans to re-grow from scratch, using this product every other day (and Nioxin shampoo on off days). I can say the crown is a little longer than the back and sides, which this product is designed to work on. The downside is the price tag - whether buying on Amazon or at Sportsclips, it seems to be the same everywhere. On the plus side, very little is needed and one bottle should last for months and months! Even before my "reset" this year, my first bottle lasted a good 6 months when used correctly (remember it's all about the SCALP). The jury is still out on the conditioner - it seems like it's mainly just an Aloe product you put in and immediately rinse. Definitely moisturizing, but not sure it's anything special for the actual thickening or (re)growth of hair. Overall, I like the product, but it's a little on the steep side for pricing.--Nov. 17 2021 Update:I've continued using the product every other day since my original review with the same results. However, the longer I've used it the more I believe it's essentially just helping to maintain a well-conditioned scalp for (maybe) slightly accelerated growth of the hair I already have, but not so much something that grows new or previously lost hair. On off days I'll still use Nioxin shampoo and alternate, and my hair/scalp is definitely healthy. (The jury never came back on the conditioner. Still not sold on it enough to buy more to tell if there's any noticeable difference with or without it since I ran out.)

I was very skeptical when my barber mentioned this to me. I had said to her that I noticed that in pictures I was often seeing a thinning spot in my hair (I have dark black hair so the scalp showing through created a light spot). After using this for about 3 months, using it every other day and using a timer to be sure I left it in t for 5 min...... the light spot wasn't showing up any more in photos - and I looked for it especially after I got my hair cut - when my hair was the shortest and it wasnt there. Now I stopped using for about 3 months and the thinning spot started to return.... so this doesn't seem to permanently reverse the situation but it does help. But I am buying it again.

I bought this and the conditioner because I noticed my hair was thinning a little bit. Have been using them for about a year now and I do not find as many hairs falling out. The smell and the softness in my hair is nice. The hair also feels thicker and seems to look healthier overall.

Been using for years, excellent product

I've been using this product for almost a year. I have very fine hair that was thinning out with age. This product has produced a lit of "baby hair". So much that you cannot see my scalp anymore! I will definitely be using this product for the rest of my life.

I've used this for one full year, so I have to say this is a fair evaluation of the product. It did not promote growth of new hair, however, it did seem to make my hair grow a little faster. Sure, it smelled nice and made my hair look good, but my normal shampoo did the same thing. I have also noticed lately that my hair is getting thinner on top of my scalp, so I don't believe this promotes hair retention either, at least for me.

Bought this on the recommendation of my hair stylist. I haven't really tried anything else for my hair loss, but seeing as this was simple to try I figured it was worth a shot. Wish I would have been told about it before I was in a more severe state of loss but I'm getting little buds of hair folicals coming out in places where I have nothing so my fingers are crossed to continue use and see what happens!

For hair growth and thickening. Worked well and I could see the difference in 3-4 weeks
