Q: Will this work well as a home stereo amp?

as long as you have a pre-amp to drive it, and you like screaming loud cooling loud fans, but here's a hint, you can probably buy a decent 100 watt 5.1 receiver for $50 on Craigslist and it will have just as much power if not more in reality. This amp only really puts out about 100 watts per channel under common standards before it starts to clip

Q: How or where do I connect a Subwoofer, what cable should I use?

you have three hook ups 1 bananna post / binding post---1/4 inch ts ---- speak-on plug. all are on the back of the unit. For sub only it also has a low pass filter/cross over built in.

it all depends on the RMS load your sub can handle if it is at 8 ohm it will be only 125 watt per channel it should be ok this is a very good amp solid good luck
