A Quality Product

This is a really great stylus with only a couple of things that could be improved.First, the good: it's very well made. It's a solid piece of metal and has a nice heft to it. The tip is just about perfect. It glides smoothly on my iPad's screen protector and is extremely accurate. The springiness makes it feel more natural and quieter when writing (no tap-tap-tap). Since the hole for the wire is offset, I've found you can turn so you can actually see the crosshairs of the tip for even better accuracy. However, it increases the writing angle unless you bend the spring.Room for improvement: The quality of the plastic cap on mine is not up the rest of the stylus and the clip quickly broke. The shaft seems to blacken a bit with use (not a huge deal, IMHO). The magnets, while fairly strong, are of little benefit. Save a buck and skip 'em. The durability of the tip is a question mark, but so far so good. Finally, I'd like it if the tip of the shaft (where the spring is) were beveled to allow a lower writing angle. I may try grinding mine down to see.Overall, I highly recommend this product. Its quality is a step above most at its price point and is simply great for accurate writing.

It tracks slow, magnets stick out but you can see what you're drawing and glides great

1st the pros:The PTFE coated wire disk glides effortlessly across the face of my iPad with Griffin Survivor case/screen protector. No dragging like rubber tips and no scratching. I purchased a spare tip when I purchased the stylus in case I notice the PTFE wearing off and scratches forming. The weight and balance are excellent and the cap nicely protects the wire frame tip when not in use. Cost less than the Adonit stylus. The Cons:I should have purchased the non-magnetic version as the rare earth magnets for sticking it to the iPad protrude too far from the pen barrel and irritate my hand as I'm drawing. It really is annoying. Besides, they aren't strong enough to attach to the iPad with the Griffin Survivor case's thick plastic/rubber armor. I resorted to slipping a foam pencil grip over the magnets to keep them from digging into my fingers. Next gripe is that as when drawing long lines quickly there is an obvious lag, much more pronounced than my cheap Targus stylus. It sort of defeats the purpose of being able to see through the tip.Since the iPad was not designed with stylii in mind, they all pale in comparison to a dedicated graphics tablet. For dodging/burning in Photoshop and rough sketching the GoSmart is a good stylus. It isn't perfect but none are on iPad.

Smooth and precise, but not durable

I own an Adonit Jot Stylus Pro, and this stylus beat that hands down in terms of the smoothness and precision of handwriting. While it functioned, my handwritten notes were clearly visible and written quickly. More importantly, there was no loss of contact, which was (and still is) a problem I experience with the Adonit stylus. I would've given this stylus four stars (minus 1 star for the design, since the exposed magnets scratched my cover), if not for the fact that the all-important teflon-coated tip broke after just 2 weeks of usage. The connecting point is a frail little wire, which I had assumed (wrongly) would hold up with normal usage. I am not a heavy-handed writer in any case. So it was to my utmost chagrin that the tip just snapped off and disappeared in the middle of a meeting, as I was taking minutes. With the replacement tips needing to be screwed into a single little entry point, the broken portion left inside the screw thread basically meant that replacement of the tip was impossible. So unless you are an incredibly light-handed writer, or the design of the connecting point of this stylus tip is improved, I do not recommend using this stylus on a regular basis.

Great stylus/Fairly Fragile

I would liked to have given this stylus 5 stars, but I hit a snag. I've tried many a stylus, and all of the different types, but absolutely loved the stylus tip design from Go Smart. Like was written in other reviews, it certainly seemed somewhat durable, and I'm admittedly a heavy stylus user, so I definitely put the durability to the test. However, I only used the stylus on one ipad, and occasionally my Galaxy s4, simply as one would a stylus. The tip broke (it didn't simply come out of the port where it's anchored) at the base within 2.5 weeks. I am certainly a bit dissatisfied with that result, but I suppose that's why they sell replacement tips, even if very pricey. I don't want to cast aversions over the stylus, but want to impart a word of cautionary awareness to any potential buyers. . .BE LIGHT-HANDED, ONLY WRITE with it on a touchscreen, and just be aware that this tip WILL BREAK at some point (how else would they sell replacement tips. . .lol)

It works better for my wife than myself.

I loved the idea of this stylus. My wife and I play Zynga game called Draw Something 2 on our iPads. Until that game, the fat rubbery stylus tips worked fine. But for drawing I wanted to see where the tip really was. I.E. More accuracy. The wire cross hair target tip seemed perfect. The pen seems very well built, but in use I found that the edge of the wire target would draw more often than the center. That pretty much ruined the purpose I had in mind.So I ordered a couple of Jot styluses, they use a clear plastic disk for the foot. I found that they tracked perfectly for me. However, my wife preferred the GoSmart. She claims that obviously the GoSmart is left-handed (as is she) and the Jot right-handed.All I know is that I carry one Jot, have the other on my nightstand and she won't let the GoSmart out of her sight.
