What I like about the Seville Classics UltraDurable Heavy Duty NSF Solid Steel Wire Rack is that they have a supporting beam in the middle bottom of each shelf that you don't find in most other brands. Easy to assemble

My two sets of shelves arrived barely contained in the flimsy shipping cartons. Fortunately, the materials were strong enough, and I was lucky enough, that there was no damage in shipping despite the obvious abuse of the packages. These are heavy units and need to be packaged way more securely to avoid the low reviews seen elsewhere. I can't imagine trying to return them in the scraps of cardboard they were barely held in when they arrived.The cardboard shipping cartons are the type that would be appropriate for light plastic shelves. These are heavy rugged steel shelves, and need thicker boxes as well as extra corner padding (using something like hard cardboard corners.)But the shelves themselves are excellent. The shelves look like they'll support a lot of weight without bowing. I have one shelf loaded with half-full paint cans, which gets heavy fast, and I see no signs of bowing. The wheels work well (though the locks are stiff and hard to operate.) The simple shelf system works great: you snap two plastic half-rings onto each pole at the height where you want the shelf and then slide the shelf down onto them, and whack a couple times with the rubber mallot to seat securely. Got the wrong spot? Tap them up off the rings and try again. Comes with a few extra plastic rings just in case.These really helped to organize my storage room!I'm confident that if the manufacturer fixed the packaging problems, the bad reviews would disappear.

We are using this unit in our unfinished basement to hold a LOT of stuff, some of it heavy and deeper than a 12 or 18" shelf would hold. I am 80 years old and not usually that handy but I had no problem putting it together in about an hour. This is the 72" H by 48" W by 24" Deep unit. I used the wheels which makes it 75"H and very easy to move into the right location. It serves our purposes perfectly. Highly recommended - pricey but high quality. I have since ordered a second unit, which I'm sure I will be able to put together even more quickly. I'd advise being available to help the delivery person because it is quite heavy. I also recommend taking the pieces out of the box while it is on the driveway or in the garage, as this makes it much easier to manage.

We ordered 3 48" and 1 60" unit. As others have said for these shelving units, the boxes were all damaged when they arrived. With so many people reporting this it almost seems as though they are damaged before they are even sent. The boxes really need to have extra protection on the corners. In each of the 48" units one or more of the shelves were bent on the ends where it has to fit over the pole and onto the slip sleeve. It is supposed to be perfectly round and several came bent. My husband has lots of tools and was able to straighten them to work/fit together. The 60" unit came undamaged. Since we were able to fix the bent shelves we are very happy with the units. We have been searching for something to organize our storage area and these were a reasonable price for what we needed. They are heavy duty and hold everything we need.

Item was as described and arrived on time. This shelf is exactly what I was looking for ! It is sturdy and can be moved easily if needed. It was easy to assemble which I was able to do by my self with some aid of tools to temporarily hold shelves level and in place.

This shelf was easy to assemble by myself, but a shorter person will likely need a partner to complete the assembly of the taller shelves. The unit is sturdy. The wheels move smoothly and lock well. The shelf design allowed me to add two more shelves (not included) to the standard model, which I use to grow microgreens.Looks great, clean, and professional.

We bought 3 of these 10 years ago. Those 3 were outside and under a covered patio and small shop they gave us no issues. We recently moved and needed far more storage for can goods and canned goods. These shelving units are heavy duty, heaver rated and are the best solution we have found. They are heavy however so be careful; I have a very black finger nail because I was a little carful.
