I Only Want the Noodles...
Shhh! I have a confession... I actually don't like Maruchan's Lime Chili Shrimp flavor. But I buy it on a REGULAR basis because it's typically the lowest priced ramen on Amazon. My purchase was $5.76 for 24 packs (and still same at time of this review), or $.24 each. I discard the flavor packets because I use just the noodles, and make my own noodle soups using a variety of Asian and western broth powders... depending on my mood. Dragonfly Won Ton Soup Mix makes a good Asian broth for ramen noodles. But my favorite is Ottogi's Korean Hot Spicy ramen soup powder sold in 10 oz bags (= ~60 packets), the same used in their popular Jin Ramen line. I mix this with some Lee Kum Kee Chicken Bouillon powder and/or Orrington Farms Beef Broth Base to make my own version of Nongshim's popular Hot & Spicy Bowls...at a way cheaper price. Amazon's current price for Nongshim's Hot & Spicy Bowls is $26.85 for 12... $2.24 vs $.24+ each... that's well over $40 savings for 24 packs of Maruchan noodles and some soup powder. Besides being able to enjoy a variety of ramen flavors, it's fun and I save quite a lot doing it this way. I even purchased a microwave ramen cooking bowl to eliminate the stove and washing a pot, and duplicate the cooking preparation of these "instant" bowls. NOTE: All products mentioned including the cooking bowl were purchased from Amazon...

Great value, easily customizable meal
I order these regularly. The soy, chili lime, and lime chili shrimp are absolutely my favorite options. They’re EBT/SNAP eligible, and as a disabled person, that helps a lot. These also cook quickly, and you can add extras to make them a more substantial meal. I regularly add egg, extra fresh, frozen, freeze dried, or even pickled vegetables to these to make them more hearty. It’s not a lot of extra work and that’s also helpful when I’m low on spoons. Tip: for fresh veg, take your sauce pan on med-low heat, add oil & the spice pack to flavor them, and toss in your veggies. Cook them a bit. Frozen will take a little less time. If you have dehydrated, just rehydrate first. Once they’re cooked, then just add the recommended 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Toss in the noodles and cook. I like topping with crispy fried onions (the freeze dried ones), bean sprouts, pickled veg…endless options. With food prices being so high, ramen is a definite regular in my household.

Good enough
Probably the best cheap alternative to other more expensive shrimp/sour shrimp noodle brand. Only 4 star due to the noodles itself not tasting as good as other brands.
