I have just about given up on this thing. It says the water is fine one minute and then two minutes later tells me the water quality is poor. Nothing changed. It just reads everything differently from one minute to the next. I am about to box this thing up and send it back. It’s too expensive to be dealing with this.UPDATE: I did return this monitor but I have to say, their Customer Service is amazing. They go above and beyond to make it right and I am impressed. They sent me another one and, Although it did not work for my hot tub, it does work beautifully for a swimming pool. Amazingly easy to use, monitors the pool water perfectly. I highly recommend this product for your pool.

Works great. The only issue I’ve seen so far is that when you first enter the app and device to view the status, it shows that the probe is not installed and no data available. Takes it a minute to refresh but you first think, oh crap, what’s wrong.

Edit: Aiper’s customer service is fantastic. They are very quick to answer questions and absorb customer feedback. It’s clear they are dedicated products of the highest quality. Equally as important, so are the people and systems supporting it.There needs to be more transparency into the algorithm for the pool scoring so owners can make more informed decisions.Temperature too high: people will sweat and be hot. Temperature too low: people will be cold.People are not buying this product to measure their pool’s temperature, and it should not be a part of the scoring OR provide transparency into the algorithm to add trust into the scoring.

This was my second attempt with the AIPER Smart Pool Monitor, and both were a waste of time.The first unit came with a used probe already installed, and the tip was visibly crystallized and damaged — a clear sign of prior use and poor quality control.I returned it and gave it one more chance. The second unit looked new, but the salt reading was totally inaccurate. It consistently showed 5344 ppm, while my professional Leslie’s AccuBlue test and calibrated handheld salt meter (AICATED) both confirmed the real level was around 3100–3400 ppm — perfect for a saltwater pool.Even worse, the device offers no way to calibrate or adjust salt, conductivity, or TDS readings — so it’s unusable for one of the most important pool parameters.Add to that the fact that the probes only last 1 year and need replacing, and you’re stuck with a pricey device that gives bad data and short lifespan components.pH and temperature readings were acceptable, but if the salt and ORP aren’t accurate or actionable, the whole point of a smart monitor is defeated.Returned both units. Not recommended.

One month in and it's dead on target. I love this little guy. Pool testing guys couldn't believe how close it was to there office test.

I initially had trouble loading up the APP , it turned out fault was on my end.Product is wonderful, it’s been 1 day and I’m impressed , I will keep it and I do recommend it.Also, despite my initial frustration with the app, Customer service representative was nice and professional. Thumbs up !

--------------------------------------------------------------------2024-06-30: Updated Comments--------------------------------------------------------------------After a week, the WiFi network connectivity is more reliable but sometimes it needs to be rebooted in the morning to re-connect for the day.Water readings have not improved. All Items report healthy (green indicators for pH, ORP, Salinity, Temperature) yet the system reports poor quality overall with no expiation as to why. Vendor documentation is poor to non-existent.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2025-06-24: Initial Review--------------------------------------------------------------------I have other devices, including a surfer 2 by Aiper. No issues with them but this device will not stay connected to wifi for more than 5 min.Measurements do not appear to be very accurate or reliable.--------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE+++++I contacted the seller and they sent me a new one and a label to return the old one. The new one is as accurate as the test strips now but sooooo much more convenient. It also gets the water temperature right on the money but I don't even have to go outside to check it.Grossly inaccurate -might as well just go by taste. Not even close to the measurements from several varieties of test strips and other electronic testing. It only gets the temperature close and you can get a bluetooth thermometer for a fraction of this thing.
