Quality of product and customer service
I have been using the ELEHEAR-Beyond Rechargeable Bluetooth OTC Hearing Aids since September 1, 2025, and they have made a huge difference in my daily life. The sound quality is excellent—voices are crisp, background noise is reduced, and I can now hear the television clearly at volume 18 instead of 70. My hearing loss is due to tinnitus. They are lightweight, comfortable, and easy to wear for long periods. The battery lasts over 100 hours on a single charge, and the charging case provides four additional full charges. Bluetooth setup with my iPhone 15 Pro Max was simple, and the app is easy to use with helpful feedback, tutorials, and features. The built-in language translator has also been a game changer when communicating with my Spanish-speaking friends. Overall, I would rate these hearing aids a 10+. As an experienced hearing aid user, I am impressed by the quality, price, and performance. ELEHEAR-Beyond’s customer service was also outstanding. Emily via email and the gentleman I spoke with by phone were friendly, professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I was concerned about my hearing aids arriving after July 4, 2026, but the process was quick and smooth. They arrived on June 22, 2026, one week after contacting the company. Thank you again, Emily, and to the other team member who assisted me. I truly appreciate your help. Because of the quality of the product and the people behind the product support, I am a lifetime customer. Martha Sheppard 😊

Excellent value, adaptability, ease of use, battery life is superb!
These OTC hearing aids provide an incredible value for the cost. I really enjoy using them everyday, and I can't imagine going back to not using them. This is my second set of OTC hearing aids, and the first time I've spent this kind of money out of pocket. The value they provide is very high for what they are. These are actual hearing aids, not just sound amplifiers. The settings are very adjustable for individual needs, like changing the sound input from 360° to front facing only, which is very handy and crowded places like restaurants so you don't have to listen to the people behind you at another table talking. The noise suppression algorithm does work very well what's your brain gets used to this particular systems operation. I like the ability of the app to control different aspects of the hearing aids, like setting up generalized settings for different places like home, office, outside, crowded places etc. The battery life on these units usually lasts me all day from around 7:00 in the morning until 10:00 at night before I start getting battery low notifications. Throughout the day, I routinely stream music for 3 hours on average. I also take approximately 30 minutes to an hour of phone calls everyday. These hearing aids do have the ability to allow sound to come through while you're using the bluetooth, or to turn the ambient sound off and listen to Bluetooth only. Pairing with the phone is very easy. The study guides and user instructions are very clear and allow you to learn to use your hearing aids over time. If you're a more seasoned user of OTC hearing aids, it can be a little annoying on the instruction side of things, but I understand why they do it the way they do. This unit does not have specific frequency adjustment for individual users, but it does have a hearing test that I assume does change the profile based on the test results. But there's no way to manually adjust any specific frequency that I have found. These hearing aids are very clear, and the ability to discern voice from ambient noise is very good for the cost of these units. using the appropriate ear domes and ear dome design is of great importance. You may have to play around with dome size or open versus closed domes in order to get the best results for you. I wasn't a big fan of receiver in ear before, but I am now. I don't ever really want to go back to air tubes. These units are a hair wider than the previous brand I used, but I also wear prescription eyeglasses daily and they fit comfortably. I do wish that the stems had the little leg that goes out and keeps it more firmly planted in your ear, but that's a minor issue for me. They are very lightweight and compact and I find them to be very comfortable and I usually forget that I'm wearing them until bedtime. I don't really have any other issues with these because they are so adaptable and I really enjoy being able to stream audio and phone through them reliably and consistently. The Bluetooth range is approximately 30 ft and walk away and still be able to stream to the hearing aids. The charger case allows for at least three full charges before it needs a charge itself. The provided ear domes are also a good fit for this device, and you can always use aftermarket ear domes if necessary. I really like these hearing aids, and if I can catch them on sale, I'll probably buy another set in the future as a spare to keep in the car.

Great alternative—but some feedback issues
I gave these 4 stars because I didn’t purchase them for myself—I got them for my dad, who’s in his 70s and refuses to go to the doctor. It’s been tough trying to find something that works for him, but after he tried my AirPods and realized how much he was missing, I did a lot of research and landed on these as a more affordable alternative to expensive hearing aids. The biggest positive is that he actually wears them all the time, and it’s made a real difference. We can have conversations again, which honestly means a lot. That said, they’re not perfect. There’s a noticeable ringing or feedback noise that people around him can hear, but he can’t, which makes it hard to troubleshoot. I wish there were better controls or app support from the caregiver side to help adjust things more accurately. Overall, they’re a good option for the price and definitely better than nothing—but there’s still room for improvement.

Best balance of price vs performance
I’ve had my Elehear Beyond Pro’s for a bit over a year now and figured this was a good time to put in a review following a recent interaction with their support team. This will be a long review, but hopefully it will answer some of the questions for other people that I had trouble finding answers for when I was researching OTC hearing aids. NOTE – writing this review under my wife’s amazon account since that was the one we used to purchase the hearing aids. For the money, these things are fantastic. Before buying these I had also considered the Jabra Enhance or the Lexi B2. I settled on the Elehear Beyond Pro after extensive research because they looked like the best balance of price vs performance and I’ve been very happy with them. Sound is crisp and clear, and the app works well. I’ve seen other reviews mention that these are larger than other behind the ear aids but they’re very comfortable and people don’t notice I’m wearing them unless I point them out. HOWEVER, expect some discomfort at first. They’ll itch badly for the first several weeks until your ears get used to having something stuck in them. Just don’t expect miracles out of them. These are amplifiers with AI built in to help isolate speech from ambient noise. For someone like me with moderate hearing loss they are a huge help, but they won’t fully correct your hearing. In a quiet or moderately noisy area I can now have conversations again and clearly hear the other person. But in a noisy environment like a restaurant I still struggle to make out words and have to ask the other person to speak up – but it’s still a huge improvement over my pre-hearing aid days. When you first start wearing them you’ll be bombarded by ambient noises you couldn’t hear before (silverware clinking against plates in restaurants, shoes clacking on the floor, etc) – eventually your brain adjusts to this and those noises will fade into the background. The app comes pre-loaded with 5 configurations for different environments. After wearing them for several months I deleted those and set up custom configs. I currently have one setting the Elehear Support person built for me based on my audiogram which relies on the “auto enhance” setting and a tweak to the frequency slider (more on the frequency slider later). If you don’t have a professional audiogram available, the app also has the ability to conduct a hearing test which I found matched my audiogram fairly well. I then used the slider setting from the Elehear Support configuration to generate two additional configurations for either surround or forward audio, with the “auto enhance” turned off and ambient noise filter maxed out on both. For normal wear I use the surround setting and for conversations I’ll switch to the forward setting (note – the preloaded restaurant setting would be similar to my forward setting but didn’t have the filter set as high). The aids come with a selection of 10 pairs of domes in various styles and sizes so you can choose the one that fits best in your ear canal and gives you the best audio. I spent about a month trying each of them before settling on the medium closed domes. I found a lot of feedback from the open domes (although this may be because I had the volume fairly high) and the tulips just weren’t comfortable to me but did give better audio. You want the dome to fit as snugly as possible in your ear canal without being uncomfortable. One problem for me has been the wire length. Elehear makes three different wires. They ship with the medium wire by default but this was too short for me which makes the dome pull back out of my ear so I constantly have to push it back in. I tried contacting Elehear repeatedly the first month after my purchase to obtain the longer wires and had zero response from them. Eventually I gave up and bought some aftermarket retention wires (In case anyone’s interested, these fit Elehear: Signia Concha Lock - Power- Retention Tail for Hearing Aids [2 Pack] ). The retention wires help some but it’s still been a problem. But after recently responding to a survey within the Elehear app, one of their reps reached out to me by phone with some follow up questions and they are now sending me a pair of the long wires at no cost so I am hopeful this will finally fix my problem and keep the aids in my ears. Back to the frequency slider. Unlike prescription hearing aids which can be tuned to match your audiogram, the Elehear Beyond just has a simple slider to make tones “brighter” or “deeper”. This is really the one major weakness I’ve found with them. From my initial research I understand they originally had a full equalizer so you could tweak multiple frequency ranges to better match your audiogram, so the equipment is capable of this type of fine tuning but for some reason it got dropped from the app and is no longer available. However the support representative I spoke to recently informed me this capability will be coming back in the near future – this would be a HUGE improvement if it happens. Quick thoughts on a couple of ancillary features: Although I’ve got pretty bad tinnitus, I don’t use the soundscape feature. There’s a decent selection of sounds but honestly I just find them annoying. I don’t want to listen to rain, frogs, or crickets all day. As long as I have my volume set high enough I find the ambient noise is enough to cover the ringing for me. I don’t listen to much music but I do tend to play audiobooks. Bluetooth streaming for audio is excellent. For my custom configurations I set the “hearing aid function” to auto so that when I stream audio it will automatically cut off the hearing aid microphones and focus exclusively on the audio stream. The translation feature works surprisingly well. I travel for work and have used it extensively in china. I still prefer Google Translate for most functions, but for one on one conversations the Elehear app does a fantastic job.

Great Customer support!
Love these hearing aids! They are very versatile and work great for tv, music, phone calls and they are amazing with conversation and voices. I had some troubles when I first got them, but the company’s customer service was excellent, thorough, and very communicative. 10/10 experience.

Excellent product....unless you try to change the domes.
I loved the way elehear was easy to set up and access blue tooth and my phone. I like all of the features.....except.....I cannot get the ear domes on the hearing aids. I changed them once, which took longer than it should have. Today I decided to try a different set of domes. Now I cannot get any of them on to the hearing aid. I have watched several videos of how to attach the domes, and it looks so easy: they just push the dome on the hearing aid, and it is attached. In reality, I have spent 30 minutes trying to put another dome on my right hearing aid. With out a dome, product useless. Surely I am not the only person that has this problem.

Reliability
Had to return original purchase due to inconsistent performance. For example the right or left device would simply drop out (a hardware defect or connectivity problem?). In addition, the amplification was "tinny" and rather shrill. No high or low frequency adjustments, volume yes frequency no. Customer service was extremely helpful and supplied a second pair after having paid $40 and return postage. The second pair were no better. My final though was perhaps these devices are better suited to certain Operationing Systems and versions of those OperatingSystems, Android or Apple. Perhaps it's time to spend a little more on an upgrade?

Good hearing units! Please read my review.
The Elehear Beyond units are definitely worth a try. My previous hearing amplifiers were the Elehear Alpha models. The Alphas helped me hear just a hair better than I could without them, but they were a long way from good or even adequate. I wore them for nine months. The Beyond model is vastly superior to the Alpha. Today is my fifth day wearing them and am quite happy with their performance. The Beyond has much more power than the Alpha, allowing a near unlimited range of volume control. If you need a higher level of amplification as I do, the Beyond will probably suit your needs. The Alpha model has four listening modes, or scenes, suitable for different listening environments, but I really couldn't distinguish one from the other. The Beyond has, I believe, eight different hearing modes, but I haven't yet explored/tested them. I've had mine set to "general" mode since I received them. The Beyond app doesn't provide the ability to program the ear set, but does provide one very critical feature, a tone control. If you've ever spoken to someone cellphone to cellphone while the other party was running water in a sink or handling papers, you know how brittle and harsh digital sounds can be, brittle, sharp and very annoying. The tone control allowed me to move the control four bars below zero toward the bass side to reduce the harshness of such sounds. The Beyond won't restore your hearing to normal, but they do a darn good job of improving my hearing. I believe Elehear and other makers of hearing amplifiers and OTC hearing aids will continue researching and provide improved products in the months and years to come. In a year or two I think we will all be able to buy reasonably high quality hearing devices in the $5-$800 range. In the meantime I encourage you to try the Beyond.
