Martha Stewart's Pressure Cooker: 100+ Fabulous New Recipes for the Pressure Cooker, Multicooker, and Instant Pot® : A Cookbook

For cooks, in defense of Martha's book
The approach of this book is how to incorporate the convenience of an insta pot/pressure cooker into your cooking. It isn't about creating ok meals with very limited time and skill. This isn't a book for non-cooks wanting a way to do simple dishes with a minimum of work. Those recipes have a place, but let's admit that if you want the quality that Martha Stewart is known for, you want recipes that take a bit more work.I am pleased that this book does a great job of giving you the basics and is unrelenting in flavor.

Exactly what I wanted
I read a few other Instant Pot books when I bought my machine, but none of them hit the mark. I waited patiently for this book to be released and was not disappointed. It gives all the basic information for the understanding the machine, detailed instructions for cooking basic ingredients that you may already need for other dishes (beans, etc.), plus a whole section of "one pot" meals that are simple and delicious. My favorites so far - steel cut oatmeal, shrimp and polenta, chicken stock, and mushroom risotto (possibly my favorite quick meal ever). Worth every penny, ready for Volume II!

Flavor is king or should I say queen in this great book.
I have several pressure cooker cook books. I lean on Lorna Sass. Jacques Pepin introduces the pressure cooker in a few of his recipes. Martha Stewart has written a book that has great directions, ingredients are easy to find and, most of all, the recipes are delicious. They taste great. This could be the only guide to pressure cooking in your kitchen and you would be happy with the meals day in and day out. Buy the book.

It's growing on me....
I was eagerly awaiting this book but my initial reaction was two star disappointment. I'm a big fan of Martha's One Pot cookbook. It has a pressure cooker section, and I was hoping to see this expanded into a whole one pot pressure cooker book. But as other reviewers have pointed out, the recipes in Part 1 of the Pressure Cooker book include pressure cooked ingredients such as beans and grains along with other ingredients and cooking methods. The point seems to be that the pressure cooker can provide the basis of many meals, but it's stretch to call them pressure cooker recipes. For quite a few of these recipes you could just use a can of beans. On the other hand there's plenty to like - add a star. The cooking charts for beans, grains and vegetables (thank you, Martha, for not calling them "veggies") are usefully calculated for both electric and stove top pressure cookers, which are slightly different. There are a lot of vegetarian recipes and some sensible recipes for stock. By sensible, I mean that they don't have unnecessary prep or huge ingredient lists. And of course there is Part 2 with truly one-pot and mostly meaty meals. Some ethnic influences, too.So far I've only made a few of the recipes, but I always like Martha's unfussy approach and her recipes work well for me. Although not what I expected, I anticipate that this will be a four-star addition to my kitchen.

My fault
I should know better than to buy kindle cookbooks. I suspect the really good thing about this book are the illustrations and the narration aside from the actual recipes, and I miss both trying to read on my Kindle. It's also more difficult t find recipes on a Kindle. Not saying this isn't a good book, it is just my fault for getting the Kindle version.

Not like the other IP cookbooks
This book is not like the other instant pot cookbooks I have read. Instead of being a book full of recipes made almost entirely in the pot, this book contains many recipes that include ingredients pre-cooked in the pressure cooker, such as beans or potatoes, as well as some prepared entirely in the pot. Directions for both stovetop and electric pressure cookers are included. If you are looking for ways to incorporate your instant pot or pressure cooker into more complex meals, this book has plenty of ideas to get you started. All recipes are beautifully photographed, as is usual in Martha Stewart's cookbooks.

Another Great Book from Martha
This is not a book for people who really can't cook or don't like to cook. It is a wonderful book from Martha for people who want to make delicious meals.

The book is falling apart
Great recipes but the book is falling apart. But because I’m just beyond the returns window, I’m stuck with it. I don’t think that’s right

Ziemlich gut.
Zudem erstaunlich zeitlos.

Martha Stewart Delivers!
I like the way it’s set up though it’s not like all the others. Organized to show you how to pressure cook particular ingredients and add to tasty recipes. Rest of book is full on pressure cooker meals. Thinking it would be really helpful for someone starting out.Recipes are the creative and yummy recipes you would expect from Martha Stewart.

Too many missing steps
I was so excited for the book to arrive and to try out more recipes in my pressure cooker. However, this turned out to be a huge disappointment. When you actually try the recipes, you'll have a million questions floating around because they are so brief that you're not sure what to do.

Kindle edition difficult to navigate, but good recipes
I want to reduce numbers of physical books at home so I bought Kindle edition. Good recipes here but kindle edition is hard to navigate. The table of content is empty, you have cover and table of content page and that’s all. There is no possibilities to have a different view like to zoom out and see other pages in the same chapter. You always have to go back to the table of content page which also have limited information.
