Glo Briteby 21st Century L25P Standard Brass Lamp Burner

The unit is made over seas and the they claim it is a standard base it is off by two thousands of an inch . Does not sound like much until you place it on an American Antique glass base . Made it fit but I had to adjust the thread on the cap portion.

The base as pictured is different from what was delivered, then returned. The base where the unit is screwed onto the lamp is like the cap for a bottle or can with a wide mouth, with the threads on the inside of the cap. The diameter didn't matter, so I didn't measure it. If it had been as pictured, it would have had a better rating.(5 months later) At a hardware store I bought a burner similar to what had been shipped to me. The package indicated the base would detach from the upper part. When I removed the base, the upper part looked like what is pictured with this product and fit my lamp perfectly. Perhaps what I bought from Amazon and returned had a removable base. It would have been helpful to know that.

the item arrived precisely as stated, the problem is that it doesn't fit my old kerosene lamp so I can't actually use it. I had to figure out how to put the old one back on, so it's not the fault of the item, more a fault that it isn't a universal fit for older--at least 50 years old--kerosene lamps.

Its a burner and it will work but it is just not made as well as burners we used to be able to get. When put on the lamp it is slightly wobbly but nothing that would make it unsafe. Looks very nice. I would tell someone if they couldn't find any older burners to buy this.

This didn't quite fit my antique oil lamp. I did use it to replace a silver burner in another oil lamp I had.

Must be handled very carefully or they will bend out of shape.

This item did not fit on my oil lamp. I thought it was standard size but it was a little too small and would not screw onto lamp. I had just got a replacement globe and lamp burner on my other lamp and the burner fit perfectly, so I thought I may as well order a new burner for this one as well. I just took the wick out of this one and kept using the old burner.

I bought it to replace the brass on an older hurricane lamp because it said it was a standard size, but didn't fit as easily as I expected. It was a very old lamp so the opening might have been a little different.
