I've got a panic-inducing spider fear, and have spent countless years in this house awaiting the spring and daily battles trying to work up the nerve to knock the creeps off the wall and then sometimes lose sight of them- just utter horror. I've tried mint plants in my room, sprays, etc. These pouches were my last attempt before getting a bug gun. I put one pouch against the small bit of wall that is at the top of the staircase, since they love to hang out on that ceiling. I put another on the floor in the corner of my bedroom right next to the door. I did both of these on the same day. Warning, the smell is absolutely POTENT the day you take the plastic (leave the actual bag sealed!) off. So potent that I almost considered throwing them out because it reeked of citronella in here for maybe 12 hours- but by two days later the smell is gone- totally gone. I'd had 3 big spiders 3 nights in a row before I put these out, and the night I did, a spider that I guess had been camping somewhere in my closet was suddenly on the wall and after I got rid of him, I have not (knock on wood) seen ONE spider upstairs- only a smaller one downstairs, where I did not put any pouches because I wanted to see the difference. It has been a bit over two weeks and still only the one downstairs- none up here. I can't believe it. And like I said, there had been one every night for 3 nights before I did this. I will purchase these for the rest of time.

I'm going to go ahead and give this 5 stars, because since having them in our house, I haven't seen or experienced as many cob webs anymore. To me, this indicates there haven't been spiders around to make webs in the first place. And, they smell really good, which doubles as a freshener to the house. :)

this product works better in small, enclosed spaces like a closet or gun safe. Larger spaces require a greater number of these and the effect level is questionable.

With it being hot out, I started finding more creatures in my house. Spiders and cockroaches. I'm deathly afraid of spiders so Everytime I see one, I have residual trauma for awhile. I try and only use natural products, especially inside my home. I have a cat too. I have been using these for awhile now. I put one in each room and I swear the next day I stop seeing spiders and cockroaches. (And any other creature for that matter) It's kinda crazy how well they work. The last time I bought them, they lasted a good six months. Now that it is warmer, I will probably need to replace them sooner. The scent is quite strong the first 24 hours then either I get used to it or it dissipates. My boyfriend gets migraines from scents but has no problem with these. The reason for the four stars is the price. I like to make natural products at home and I know how cheap these are to make, so the mark up is insane. I get they need to make a profit, but damn! My plan is to make them myself next time. I have a lot of essential oils at home already and there are plenty of recipes online. If they were more affordable, I would probably just keep buying them out of convenience.

Spiders are a problem in my house. Not like Arachnophobia type of problem but no matter how often I vacuum and dust they always seem to appear in corners, between tables and chairs, on the stairs, etc. I bought these pouches since hey had great reviews and are all-natural, and quite pleasantly scented once the scent of their initial presence/unwrapping wears off (couple of days). I did a thorough spider-removal before placing these throughout our home, making sure no webs or spiders were lingering (I hope!) and placed the pouches around according to the instructions. A week later, doing my cleaning I noticed several webs and spiders had reappeared.... NEXT TO the pouches. Maybe we have a strange type of spider (they're all the same in this house) but they don't seem to mind the scent and appear to rather love it building their homes right on top of the pouches, and using them as a web anchor. Very sad to have had an ineffective experience with these pouches and still on the hunt for something that works!

Didn't see any spiders today but I just put it up yesterday. I have maybe on or two a day that I see in my basement so not a huge infestation but I can tell you that this stuff smells amazing. I'm going to order more for the other parts of my house. I was very cautious about purchasing anything that may be harmful for my dogs and cats but this product is good.

We live in the woods. I have used these for 3+ years now. My monthly exterminator told me if anyone tells you they can abate spiders, they're lying. He said, all you can do is spray them when you see them (no, thanks) or make them WANT to stay away. These bags do that. Before I started using these, I had those b******s everywhere (we have widows and brown recluse). Lavender gives me headaches, but I tolerate how strong smelling these are when you first get them (The smell calms down after a week or two), that's how good they are. I use these behind my bed, in all my closets, window sills, bathroom cabinets and even in kitchen cabinets where I have things we eat from. They're nontoxic and easily movable. I date label them and keep them longer than they say they work. I suggest, if you have more than one bedroom/two closets, get a double set the first time. I even have one in my car! (Like I said, the woods :)

Read the directions , but they do work. 30 days of peace-of-mind. I am phobic of spiders, and i gave this little bag a test...day 43 i saw 1, my boyfriend said he killed one after that, and today (around day 50?) , i found one in bathroom. We live in a rural, woodsy part of Northeast PA, and we have some sci-fi critters out here, but of all, i dont do spiders. Product reads good for 30 days and is correct. Hadnt seen a single 1, even put 1 in my car, for those 30 days. Worth the buy.
