Last Exile: Fam, The Silver Wing, Season 2, Part 2 [Blu-ray]

I was waiting until the price drop to 55% so I can bought. Other than that I already saw this show, it was wonderful and good show.

very enjoyable anime and for the most part well made. I think they threw in some of the 3D gaming style a bit too much but over all very enjoyable to watch.

I loved the original Last Exile, but they really butchered this sequel. It's supposed to take place a long time after the original (100 years?) but Lord Dio is still looking like a teenager. They don't offer any explanation for that. The general idea is the exiles have returned from the other planets back to Earth, but there isn't enough resources to go around. So the people who never left the Earth have declared war on all the nations founded by the exiles. It actually has a really good premise, but the main characters are absolutely obnoxious. They cranked up the cute dial to max and it just doesn't fit the serious story the characters find themselves in. The Silvana is now an all girl crew who giggle at everything, the two main girls taking over Claus and Lavi's roles are absurdly young considering they become part of a warship crew and they fly around in these silly miniature vehicles that, I'm not kidding, are called Vespas. The main character Fam is completely self absorbed and obsessed with holding, and winning a new grand race. She seems oblivious to the pain and suffering of the people around the world and quite honestly, comes off as disgustingly selfish. She acts shocked when on of the pilots is in a bad mood, simply because her homeland just got utterly destroyed. In the first show, the two main characters start off happy go lucky, but the war forces them to grow up. In this series, they never do. Fam is the same selfish brat at the end as she is in the beginning. The show had the opportunity to address some serious issues, but always side steps it to protect its cute and fun theme. So in the end, I'll admit I did still get some enjoyment out of it. Again, the general story is good, but it's buried under annoying characters and cheap plot twists that feel like the script writers were trying to avoid dealing with the very problems they set up.

I liked this series very much, I just wished it was in one package for both parts instead of sold separately!

Purchased as a gift. Recipient is an anime fan, and had requested this title. He was quite pleased with it.

This is very good dvd. Lot fun actor my cousins like last exile I got first complete set.

Personaly, the story of the first season (Last Exile) was slightly better but nonetheless this anime is still a good story and I warmly recommend it. Its a good anime to add to any collection ^_^

Even though this isn't my favourite anime, I still really enjoyed it(though the main protagonist Can does do me head in sometimes!
