Does the job, more or less, but flimsy
These are very simple curved hollow metal tubes with a protective polymer sleeve. Maybe $4.00 worth of materials if purchased at your local hardware store (presuming you have the ability to manipulate metal tubes into a similar shape). The pros: well, it does hold my 11’ paddle board from the ceiling. And that is just what it is supposed to do. So for that alone, how could I find a complaint?Well...The cons: This is device is made of a very lightweight tube metal. So lightweight that it flexes considerably under the weight of my 22 pound board. So, my carefully planned desire to have my board hang within 10” of my ceiling as per the description did not pan out. The ends of the tubes sag over an inch from the curve to the tip when the paddle board is in place. Which means, in my case, that not only does the tube end now graze the tippy top of my head (very annoying), but the board, when hanging from the ceiling, is not hanging level. It is at a fifteen degree slant from right to left. And this is offensive to my organized perspective. I wish I would have known that this was the case before purchase and installation. This is one of those things you discover after the job is complete — and then it is too late. Here is what is wrong with these devices. First, a slightly thicker and more substantial tubing at a few dollars more could make all the difference in the flex.Second, the manufacturer should have flat metal plates welded to the top of the mounts to prevent lateral movement of the racks when placing and removing the board. No matter how gingerly you move the board, and despite how tight you have screwed the included bolts, the rounded nature of the tubes encourages flexing and lateral movement (side to side). Eventually, in time, this constant movement will strip the bolts from the ceiling or cause damage to the tubes. Not to mention, the whole paddle board constantly vibrates when my kids walk around upstairs on the floor above. This setup is NOT substantial. A simple metal plate affixed to the top would have rectified this.Next, the bolt holes in the tubes assume that you are only affixing the tubes to lateral studs. What if you want to affix the tubes across studs? Then you have to install wood spanners onto your ceiling before attaching the tubes. Now you have added another half inch or more to your elevation, as I did, and there’s is no longer a ten inch depth as advertised. Now it is 10.5” or more. Boom, I’ve grazed my head even more.It would have been very simple for the manifacturer to make the top tube length at least 17 or 18 inches with holes that match the distance between studs so that it could be mounted either parallel or perpendicular with standard 16” studs.Final thoughts; this is an inexpensive product overall. So I shouldn’t complain. But I am because I assumed I was getting something that was appropriately suited for the job as advertised. I feel a bit mislead. Now I have very cheaply made and poorly executed devices attached to my ceiling and it annoys me greatly that I spent so much time getting them installed. I would have gladly paid more for a better suited product. The thought of starting over really galls me.Frankly, if you are good in your garage shop, you can make something far better than these with some galvanized plumbing pipe, some angle connectors and a drill with metal boring bits. I have a friend with a pipe bender and I will probably be making my own ceiling mount shortly and throwing these silly things away. Then again, I guess I could use these mounts to hold my son’s styrofoam boogie board. It is only 9 ounces, or so, and might not flex these tubes too much...

Board is off of the deck finally
Worked as described. I installed mine in the carport under my house to hold a 14’L, 30” wide touring board. I gave 4 stars because one of the brackets was drilled crooked so it didn’t hang straight down or perpendicular to the ceiling. The other one was bent upward on the arm (not parallel with the floor). If both were like that it actually may have been a slightly better design so it would hold almost cradle the board. That wouldn’t be helpful in a “no wind environment” like a garage. I used a tie down strap to secure my board against strong winds.I would purchase another set for other boards.

Great surfboard rack with multiple uses
I am new to surfing and have a 9ft board that I needed to store, these mounts worked great. They are easy to install as long as you can find a couple of studs and know how to use a drill.I like these so much that I plan on ordering another set to use as storage for my latter. The company seems to care as I received an email right away making sure that I was pleased with the product. I assume the service would be good if there was a problem with the order.

Great Customer Service
The screws really need to be a tad heftier. Although structurally they may be acceptable, they do not provide a level of confidence that one would like when mounting something above your car. Other than that good product.

Great product for a great price....doesn't get any better :)
This is my 3rd purchase of this rack! Love the fact that it holds a 12' paddleboard with ease! Not fond that it only holds one paddleboard, but the paddleboards are thicker than surfboards and they are in their covers, too. Loved the ease of putting them up and the price and quality stand up!! Highly recommend this product!
