Ironwood GourmetPetaluma Cocktail Plates, Acacia Wood, Set of 4

I did not buy this for sushi. I have a Cuisinart Grind And Brew coffeemaker. I seem to be water challenged when filling it because half the time I pour water down the outside of the machine. It is heavy, has a short cord, sits back against the wall and sticks to the counter so pulling it out is a pain. I bought this Sushi Plate because the dimensions are just slightly larger than the bottom of my coffee maker and because it had four small, short legs and because I thought it was attractive. The sushi plate was very dry so I oiled it with mineral oil. Now when I miss the water container of my coffee pot I can quickly wipe up the water because this little plate moves easily on my counter. The short legs hav not added a lot of height to my coffeemaker.The Sushi Plate is very pretty. Once oiled the wood just pops with color. As Sebastian82 wrote, the wood is soft. I may buy another in time if the price does not go up. It is a very pretty and versatile piece.

This little olive canoe is absolutely adorable. The craftsmanship is on point. Its durable, lightweight, smooth to touch and can be used for any type of party celebration. You can dress it up or down with whatever themed party you are planning. Perfect size for me since not many of my friends like olives but for those that do this is the perfect olive platter. The price was great too. Another homerun Amazon!

I am very happy with this product.The look of the platter is pleasing to the eye. I keep it oiled with tung oil. Though it would make a perfect sush platter, I use the platter as an accent piece to a home altar. It also looks great under a Bonsai plant during photo taking but since I only own one platter I chose to keep it on the altar.On the wood itself, I was suprised to find the wood to be very lite almost comparable to balsa wood. The density is softer than a maple or cherry wood and a few degrees harder than pine. I can press a fingernail into it so it is not a heavy and dense variety of ironwood. There are so many varieties within the "ironwood" catagory I couldn't tell which this could be. Plus, my knowledge of woods is lacking. I can tell you it is a nice piece if a little high priced. I would defininately buy more if the price was lower.

I love throwing cocktail parties, and these plates are perfect for having a small snack and holding your wine glass at the same time. Worked with all of my wine glasses that have stems, although I tried to balance a regular glass that had a rounded bottom in there and that wasn't very bright, stick with wine glasses!I use the acrylic versions of these plates as well, but these are perfect for cheese and fruit. I keep the acrylic ones in the cupboard in case I need extras, or if I'm serving something less easy to clean off of wood, these are definitely classier.Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they aren't dishwasher safe I don't think. In my book everything should clean itself, and barring that at least be dishwasher safe.

Great little product! Very pretty wood , sturdy and efficient. I love that the glass fits right in and you can keep moving. I have to find a wine glass that has a ridge to hold the tray up (like in the photo)

These boards look amazing, but the first one I ordered had a chip on the corner because they are wrapped in bubble wrap then placed in an Amazon shipping box. The corners are not well protected.I requested a replacement which Amazon sent immediately without requiring the damaged one be returned. The second one had minor damage on one corner attesting to the poor packing.

This is a well made, surprisingly large, quality little olive boat. I had no intention of using it for actual olives--rather I placed turtle green marbles in it and sat it on my bookshelf as a whimsy piece--but for anyone intending to actually serve olives to their guests, this would perfectly do the trick. But it has many nore uses too! Mount on the wall under a beautiful, stark dried flower arrangement, use it for your child's craft project to sort thru tiny pieces...the list goes on and on. It's generously carved out, so any item not taller than two inches--we're talking some mega stuffed olives here--should fit nicely. The wood isn't too dark, too liight, or splintery in any way. Looks just as represented here!

Very happy with these wood appetizer and wine glass holder plates. They look terrific and do the job nicely, adding a bit of class to my picnic tote. Very good quality and priced extremely well, look like they would cost more than they do. Great gift idea too.
