Entretenido
Me gustó.

I loved it so much I read it in one session
I know Getter Robo is an already established series and this manga is the first I've ever read from the series. I loved it so much I read it in one session. Usually, I'll read half of a manga and the other half later on if I find it really good but with Getter Robo Devolution I just couldn't put it down. My main reason for picking it up was because its made by the same duo whos working on the Ultraman series and I just can't get enough of their work.

and a Super Robot Wars regular(as a mandatory unit)
Getter Robo is one of the most known names in mecha anime, manga, and a Super Robot Wars regular(as a mandatory unit). And when I read this, I could not put it down until I got to the last page.If you have been paying attention to the rest of the Getter Robo story, this is another of the other dimensions as mentioned in Armageddon and New Getter Robo.

Missing the Prologue and censored.
Longtime Getter Robo Series fan here. This reboot features great, fantastic art, and characters. It's a great reimagining and update of the series. However this release is missing the prologue, and appears to be censored to cut down on the blood, dismemberment, and generally tone down the overall graphicness of the violence. Shots are zoomed in, and other tricks such as darkening the scene, in order to obscure/hide the more graphic parts. I'm not sure if the Japanese Tankoban release did the same. Since it's missing the prologue and censored I'm knocking two stars off. 3 out of 5 stars.

A great “reimagining” of Getter Robo
Not since Evangelion or Gurren Lagann (which is a satire piece to anime of the Super Robot genre) have I been even remotely interested in Super Robots. Yet, this series had me hooked after the first few chapters. The overall plot is wacky, and seemingly convoluted at the beginning, but it will pay dividends to keep going as all questions are eventually answered. A great series overall.

Great Robo! Sad translation on all aspects when hitting overseas
Overall thoughts.Layout is on the poor side. Font selection is also not the best especially for Titleist and Page numbering. Print quality is not well in pages that have a lot of black in them. The percentage of black used is too high that some details have been lost. Also at the end of the manga there is a guide for first-timers on how to read a Japanese manga. This is so strange as it should be at the beginning of the manga since it is to help first timers learn how to read. Translation could also be a step higher. It was fun to read but not pleasant to look at for a long time when taking the above into consideration. As for price it is worth half of what the publisher is asking. If you are not in a hurry to read it then wait until it gets discounted.
